Update: The food is fresh, delicious, and healthy with reasonable pricing, and after speaking with the owner, I am going to update this review after my next couple visits, so the star rating as of now is based on the quality of the food, with only one star deducted for the rushed service. I'm hopeful that can resolve the minor issues stated here??- - - - -I had gone to pick up a group order for my co-workers, and I was going because I wanted to order three smoothies in person. I waited in line for at least 7 minutes, saw multiple smoothies on the tables in the cafe being drank by customers, but when I asked for three Very Verde smoothies, they said the machine was broken. It seemed awfully convenient that the smoothie machine was broken when they were very busy. And why wasn't there a sign? Something to let me know I shouldn't wait in line. Regardless of how busy it is, I only went to pick up the order so I could order my smoothie, but ended up leaving with nothing for myself or my two coworkers who also wanted a smoothie. I tried to call ahead of time to ask if the machine was working, maybe place the order on the phone for the smoothies but they didn't answer their phones, and imo, they might as well disconnect the phone lines because I've tried calling in the past with no luck on getting an answer! So I wasted my time and my gas just to be rushed away. It should NOT be that way. I am very disappointed with the customer service.

I ordered my lunch from work a half an hour in advance and when I got there to pick it up it was gone. They need to have the pick up section a little more organized so people can’t just take orders they didn’t pay for. I am a surgical assistant so I don’t have all day to wait for people to remake salads so I had to leave and go back to work with no lunch. Please just refund my money. I already talked to the cashier he said he will but I’m just making sure no one forgets, thank you.
Great food and items...sweet cashier, but aside from the food preps-- that area is not too used to [color]; Nevertheless carry class and about $-$$
It wasn’t until I visited the Arlington location that I realized that the quality of food in McLean is very subpar. The bread on my sandwiches are always hard and I noticed that the smoothies are more frozen yogurt than ingredients. This is not the case at other locations. In Arlington I am greeted at the door and a thank you is passed on before I leave. The ingredients are always fresh and the smoothies are robust with flavor!Also, I once had an interaction with the McLean manager in search of an order that I placed online and she actually walked away from me and never came back to help?! I stood there for 10 minutes assuming that she was helping me. So rude. There are too many other locations to subject myself to this one.Response to the owner’s comment:I emailed you as you requested and received no response.
The food was great. I had the Koo Koo Poo sandwich which had chicken, cheddar cheese, greens and I believe a pesto mayo. Full of flavor. Parking can be tight.
When I picked up my order, an older staff member said "It's not ready yet, you HAVE TO wait!" with a mean face... I was upset with her attitude but patiently waited by the pick up rack. My order was finally ready, but she walked passed me and dropped the bag on the rack, totally ignoring me. I had already mentioned my name, so she should have known it was my order. I don't know why I was treated so poorly. I definitely left "Sweet" Leaf with a bitter taste in my mouth.

I’m glad I found Sweet Leaf way better than that other lame salad place. Food is excellent and well made especially their steak and chicken, moist and not the rubber burnt flavor either. Every time I’ve had lunch here it has been consistent and done right. Highly recommended.
