Seems like a nice place to grab a bite to eat, but unfortunately my selection from the menu was not a strong point for this restaurant. Avocado toast is more like guacamole toast with some unrecognizable seeds tossed in. The coffee was so strong it overpowered 3 creams and 4 sugars, and our waitress disappeared on us at some point in our meal and even the manager was unable to locate her. Regardless of what the management response will be, this place has just become the second inductee into the “never again” club for the NOVA region.
This is the second Silver Diner that I have been to and hands down this location has excellent customer service. We got our milkshakes and appetizers way before our entrees arrived.I ordered a triple pickled chicken burger with sweet potato fries (extra dollar for the sweet potato fries). It looked just as pictured on the menu with two pieces of fried chicken cutlet. Everything was hot and delicious!! Highly recommend the triple pickled chicken burger if you love pickles. This location is a 2-3 minute drive from Tyson Center Mall and there is parking on site.
An authentic American diner, exactly as I'd expected.Breakfast was great, service attentive, and food great quality. I visited twice for breakfast in the space of a week, and had one take-out order from here. No complaints.Staying nearby? It's well worth a visit, plenty of free and easy parking.
Got in without any wait for a late dinner. The thing to know is that this isn't a typical diner - you know, the kind that has a forty page menu with every possible dish known to man. This is not that. They've taken the diner ethos and moved it a bit upscale. The ambience is still pretty much what you expect, but the meals are designed and assembled with a bit more craft. They use better, fresher ingredients. The portions are big enough, just not oversized. There's less fried food and more fruits and greens. And it costs a bit more than typical diner fare. But that's okay because I feel like you're also getting more for your money. All in all, a nice surprise and worth a visit. Oh, and breakfast any time is pretty great, right?
I loved the retro style of the restaurant. We had late breakfast. Menu is very extensive with a variety of options, service was quick and the food came out fast.
This restaurant is definitely a retro diner that seems to never change over time. We ordered burger, salad, a side, shake and tea, and overall the food was good. The restaurant was very busy, so it could be a bit challenging to get the staff’s attention sometimes. There’s plenty of parking space outside of the restaurant.
Wife and I stopped for brunch. We both had the apple stuff French toast. It good……but extremely sweet. If you can’t eat real sweet things don’t order. I love breakfast and I love my syrup. However, even for me they were to much. The order brings two and my wife only managed to barely eat one. The services was great! Our server Sandya kept my coffee filled and graciously appeared often to see if we needed anything.
We loved this place. Definitely NOT what we were expecting for a place with 'Diner' in the name. The food at this place is quite upscale. I got the black Angus meatloaf and my partner got a delicious steak omlette. Dmitri was our server and provided excellent service. Our bill was about $43 for ² entrees and 2 sodas, I left a 10 dollar tip and we were in and out in less then 45 minutes. Thank you, Staff. Excellent job!
Have always enjoyed my food at Silver Diner! Very diverse menu of tasty dishes! This time, tried Salmon & Shrimp special and it was truly amazing!! The file minion was also great ????
Everyone in our party loved the food. We've been here before, but it's been a long time. Did not disappoint. Chicken noodle soup was great. Cheesesteak was beyond fantastic, even better than the ones I've had in Philadelphia (sorry, it was that good). Will return for sure.
