Sandwich shops are sandwich shops, but Lost Dog puts a fun twist on things. There is a wider menu than I am used to at this kind of place, with inventive pizzas rather than the typical same 'ol. Art inside is wonderful for all ages. Prices are a bit higher than their contemporaries, but not enough to turn me off.We have always enjoyed stopping here on the way home from a Saturday's activities, and for our kids ( long since into adulthood), it is still a casual treat.

I love this place. They help puppers! Great beer selection and amazing menu! Friendly staff, clean, what more can your ask for?

Went from Cleveland Ohio to visit my daughter in Fairfax and this was the one place I wanted to try after hearing about it from her. The food, the atmosphere, the service and everything far exceeded my expectations. When I am visiting again, the Lazy Dog will be at the top of my list of stops.

A very good option for pickup or dine in. An excellent selection of very tasty sandwiches on very good breads. Soups can be a whole meal.Bar offers draft beers and wines by the glass or bottle.Well priced for the McLean/Tyson's area. Very convenient access to all major highways and roads.

I got the grilled cheese and a chocolate milkshake. the grilled cheese was good. nicely toasted and good flavor. the milkshake on the other hand, very underwhelming. just tasted like milk with a hint of chocolate. it’s a cute restaurant though. nice decorations and great service. everyone else in my party had a good experience along with me.

I’m a regular and love the food and the great selection of beers. The 2-stars comes from the lackluster service. This location has a sign up near the service area with instructions: “greet customer within 30-seconds, take drink orders in 2-minutes…” we’ll, I waited 5-minutes during lunch for the server to acknowledge me (I could hear him joking around in the back). I had to pull him aside to ask for silverware and napkins. He had just one other table but he was basically useless. Service here needs an overhaul!

Enormous menu with endless combinations of sandwiches and pies. All good, you can not go wrong. Solid service. Always there for lunch during work, looking forward to an evening to try the craft draft beers.

I wanted to try something different for lunch while I was at work, so i ordered Lost Dog’s version of a “steak and cheese”, the Bulldog. What I received could barely be classified as a steak and cheese- I got a few slices of dry beef served on a stiff slice of white bread. I paid $12 for this pathetic sandwich and it didn’t even come with any sides or a drink. Other reviews have said they have some good sandwiches, but there is no excuse for the quality of sandwich I received.

The menu looks amazing. So many different pizzas and 50! types of sandwiches but they are not as tasty as they sound. We started with a cup of tomato bisque and black bean dip.The tomato soup was OK but the black bean dip; just 2 slices of micro avocados and 5 or 6 dices of onions on top with a bland bean mix. I would say the grocery stores' canned beans are more delicious! We also ordered #4 Bulldog which is a steak and cheese sandwich; not very delicious.Next one was #11 Rottie which is a garlic chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy but the garlic sauce, watery and didn't match well with the veggies in the sandwich. The third sandwich was #12 New York Yankee. A good combination of deli, veggie, and cheese. The only thing I recommend for this cafe. The fries was not fresh and had green spots which is not a good thing. And the most embarrassing part; because of the pandemic, we wanted to sit out but the tables were full so we decided to dine in our car right in front of the cafe. When we were finished I went in and requested one soda refill (for a $70 check plus tip) and I was told since we dined out of the cafe's perimeter we have to pay for it.If it was a chain fast food with a $5 order it made sense but for a cafe in McLean with a $70+ check, it just looked so cheap. I've worked in restaurants when I was at school and I know the sodas don't cost more than some cents. It was just disrespectful.

Unsure of what to eat on a weekday afternoon I'm glad we chose Lost Dog. The place was busy but that did not stop the staff from being very concerned with how we wanted to have our dining experience. I got a small pizza and my friend got a Cobb salad. We both could not finish the meal entirely before we were full. I need to mention that Cobb salad was huge. I was very impressed with how in harmony the staff was. They had one common goal together.
