Good was good but service was slow and spotty. It sure if waiter was having an off night.
The entire experience was excellent. The staff was wonderful and engaging. The food was fantastic!
The waiter took great care of us with exceptional service.
Love the crab bisque. Really liked the pretzel onion rings. Two of our group got the three course special, which we recommend. Our waiter (Jake?) was excellent along with the rest of the wait staff. When we got there at 5:30, there were few people and it was peaceful. Towards the end a really loud group sat near us, but that is what you have to expect when you eat out in public. J Gilbertâs is where we like to go for special occasions.
Incredible food, attentive, friendly and experienced staff and a great ambience!!! You have to get there!!
Love this restaurant. We had friends from out of town who said lets get some steak, Obviously we said J Gilbert's . We were the last reservation of the evening and the manager, waitress, and chef were amazing. We appreciate our local Steakhouse for being accommodating having great food , service and ambiance.
The server provided excellent service. Sorry I can't remember her name. She was outstanding.
I never write reviews, however we used to like J. Gilbert's a lot and it's important for them to know about our most recent experience. We've visited J. Gilberts multiple times over the past decade or so, and never had a poor experience overall. The waiter forgot to put in the order for our drinks. We had to nudge them and then remind them the items we had ordered. The steak was overcooked - We ordered medium and it was medium-well. They forgot to send the sauce when the steak came out. And, finally, they gave us a free cake to make up for the poor service and food issues, however, it tasted stale. It's sad when a restaurant with a solid track record just drops the ball like this. We probably wont be returning to J. Gilbert's after our most recent experience and do not recommend this restaurant.
The service was great, the food was delicious and the cocktails and wine were on point.
