I love that this place exists. It feels like it is trying to be very earth friendly with a lot of vegetarian options. I ordered 3 sides: the sweet potatoes, the Mac and cheese and the cauliflower risotto. Then I also tried the chocolate pudding. I really liked the cauliflower dish—nice flavoring, was probably my favorite that I ordered.

Realistically I'd give this restaurant a 3.5 but that isn't an option and 4 stars is too high. I had the chicken entree with BBQ heirloom carrots and the gluten free mac and cheese -- for context, if you order an entree you get to pick a base protein and two sides (or you can order three vegetarian sides as an entree). Although I only ate here once and I'm making an assumption, the takeaway from my meal is that Flower Child excels at the more creative, adventurous dishes on their menu and not so much with the more run-of-the-mill plates. Case in point: the chicken and mac and cheese were both bland in my opinion. The chicken was a bit dry as well. The BBQ heirloom carrots, however, were the standout of the meal. I'd never seen carrots fried like that, and the avocado ranch was delicious. Luckily, there was plenty of the wonderful sauce to go around, which helped remedy the flavor of the chicken. I think it's possible to have a good meal at this place, but unfortunately you can't just throw a dart at the menu and expect to land on something satisfying.

Flower child is amazing. They have so many great options. I love going in and trying something new every time, I have never been disappointed with my order. I am so sad the taco salad is only here for a limited time because it’s the bomb.comAll of the staff at flower child is so welcoming and friendly. It’s awesome how the flower child menu is able to accommodate to any kind of diet restriction and the staff is always willing to work with you to ensure everything is taken care of. The ambiance in the restaurant is great and so bright and happy. You can tell they appreciate the business they get because they always go out of their way to greet their regular customers and to fix any problems with orders. The bathroom, patio, and main dining area is always spotless and if there is any kind of a mess, they clean it in a jiffy! They also have dog bowls on the patio- so fuzzy friends are definitely welcome!

We didn't take any photos, but we could tell the food overall was prepared with care and respect for the ingredients. We ordered the salmon and steak, and both were cooked to tender, juicy perfection. The steak was medium and had a nice (but not too much) char in it. The salmon was juicy, whereas most restaurants overcook their salmon (if I were to guess, for ease and safety reasons--better the salmon taste dry and bad than for a customer to get sick). Although I forget what sides we ordered, I do specifically remember the veggies were not overcooked since they still had a nice bite (broccoli, corn, etc.).

Try the carrots. That is all. I also love their sweet potatoes and steak. It is fresh food, healthy, and local.

Very clean inside the restaurant, very friendly staff, quality ingredients. I got Thai Dye and Bird is the Word. They were both fresh and healthy tasting with a lot of flavor! I recommend this!

Really enjoyed the vegan options and the freshness and quality of the ingredients! My husband (non-vegan) ordered the steak and was impressed that it was cooked perfectly. Delivery to the table was quick and they have some alcoholic beverages available if you're in the mood.

Food was amazing. I got a mother earth bowl and it was delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I got a table visit from the general manager Rudi asking how my meal was. She very nice and hospitable. I will definitely be back.

I loved flower child. In the past few months I got food from there at least once or twice a week and I loved it. The past few weeks the quality of the food has deteriorated. Recently I very often get burnt sweet potatos on my mother earth bowl which are not healthy and should be thrown out instead of giving them to a customer. Also the quantity varies a lot from time to time. Last time I got only 2 pieces of sweet potato. This time my mother earth bowl( what I get mostly) lacks the sauce and barely has any cucumbers which is sad.I hope they fix the issues but I have to find another go to place, since the food is not as good as it used to be. Bummer

The butternut squash side with the apples and topped crispies is on another level. The sauteed broccoli is prepared perfectly, slight char that adds a crisp and seasoned nicely with a tangy lemon parm dressing. The hummus is smooth and fresh, not too oily and finished with olives and roasted peppers. The carrots were tender, seasoned with a green goddess type dressing at the bottom and topped with pumpkin seeds. The teas and lemonade were refreshing and flavorful without being sweet. ...hate to reiterate the menu. One of the few restaurants where I can easily say, protein is a distant second and I would venture to recommend just get 3-4 veggie sides. I hope the tips go to the cooks cuz they are outperforming so many restaurants. For those visiting, this is a great place for a quick and healthy lunch or dinner as evident by all the locals going in and out. Conclusion: Fine dining quality, super casual atmosphere, good value and fast food speed. I can see this restaurant getting popular and growing like sweet green.
