We were from out of town and were treated like family. We needed to eat and quickly catch the train. What a pleasure and what wonderful chopped Brisket! Moist and very flavorful! The manager, can’t remember her name, was exceptionally accommodating, friendly and courteous. She made our day. We hope to return as often as possible! Thank you!
Absolutely delicious. The rub on the pulled pork divine, such complexity of flavor. Super friendly and helpful staff. The bbq sauce is excellent! Perfect to put over the pork or ribs. Brisket falls apart when you touch it. The chicken is divine. Infused with smoke to the bone. And the corn muffins are pleasant surprise. What a great unique idea. For the fair price you get top of the line bbq. This is elite food.
The ribs were tender with sauce on the side, the way I like them. My brisket was a little dry, however my friend's was moist and tender. I'm not a fan of sauced pork bbq, but it wasn't bad,, my other friend loved it. The cole slaw was very good with a hint of vinegar. The collards had a touch of spice which is always nice.
First of all, the wait staff was stellar…attentive & knowledgeable about products. Meg was great. Have done take out twice. Full rack of ribs, collard greens, slaw were done ? to my taste. Going back for 3rd time in three months in a couple of days.
The staff was great at putting together a nice carry out order for us and the food was amazing. It's always nice to see when an order was correct and on time, especially for a carry out order. We got the brisket, ribs, sausage, mac and cheese and the beans. Everything was very good. The sausage was a bit spicy but the flavors were incredible. Thank you for a great first time experience. We also liked the house BBQ sauce. BBQ places can be a hit or miss around here and this place is a hit! We will be back!
I had the daily special, The Rodeo with baked beans to go. Oh my goodness, I'm so full! I could only have a few bites of the baked beans. It was all absolutely delicious and I'll save the beans for later. I wasn't sure of the sauce so the chef provided a bit of the house and the sweet sauce. One taste of the house and I used it all. I didn't even try the sweet yet, but I will try it later. A great experience overall!
Oh my.....I eat on the road a great deal and I have to say I have never had a better BBQ meal than what I had here. The pulled pork was tender and they didn't skimp on the portion. Also they didn't throw in a bunch of gristle and fat like most places try to do. Great job folks. The slaw was perfect and the onion straw were tasty and not over the top spicy. Very good.

Very good pork shoulder, but the collards are the real story! Beautifully spicy pot liquor, amongst the best I've had in Virginia.Had the two meat-- sluxed brisket & pulled shoulder. Pork was tender and smoky with good seasoning. The brisket was well rubbed and had a bit of smoke but they gave me dry slices from the flat so that was a bit disappointing.Still the overall experience was very good and I'll be back
Man. Awesome food and great ambiance. We had ribs and pulled pork sandwiches. They were perfect. The sides were delicious too!
