Came for sushi and sat at a regular table. It was insanely busy but our drinks and food still came out in a timely manner and the staff was extremely nice. Hands down the best sushi in the area! I will definitely be back.

It’s always unfortunate when a place has good food but the service, rudeness, nickel and diming for every single thing and a automatic gratuity added to your bill for a family of 4 or more (and yes small children count as a person) and did I mention rudeness? Don’t think for one second that coming here every week as a regular means anything for kindness or customer service. It really is a shame, and if you read the other reviews it’s pretty consistent complaints. Go somewhere else where your appreciated for your business . Goto Osaka or Akasaka the people are much nicer and your not nickel and dimed. Will never come here again. The ones that gave it 5 just haven’t had it happen YET. Extremely rude staff!!! This girl literally told me to go else where because they were going to be closed in 45 minutes???? She was not accommodating at all and on top of that, she was very mean. Been here many times, but will never come again and will NEVER refer my friends or families. RUDE STAFF. DO NOT VISIT IF YOU ARE ALL ABOUT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Good prices and food but need to improve in service.Sunday they dont have the capacity to take orders of more than 2 tables. They give you the check without asking, like if you are done you go.
I’ve been coming to this place since before it was named sumo it was always a lovely experience but now not so much, the food and sushi are decent but the service is terrible waitress and sushi chef and hibachi chefs know me and my family for years now but the last past few times the service has been terrible I am writing this review outside of the parking lot because I’ve just got done eating there she was very rushing also very rude after everything was said and done and I was ready for my check she threw my check on the table as if I were an animal Me and my family are very generous tippers especially because we’ve been coming here for years but there was a few times they were rude this was the last straw I will no longer be coming to sumo Nor will my family

We love this place so much. They are so kind to us. They know us and remember us. And the chef remembered when we brought our family last time!!! They treated us to a cheesecake. We love Sumo!!!!!
