Called up for the lunch special, they end up charging me for the dinner special. Went there, had the discussion, they bring out the dinner size, bring it back to the kitchen, and fill it up in the lunch size, but didn't even fill the lunch size up halfway. I went in and requested they balance, and the woman said that that was the portion size. I've been coming here multiple times, and I've never seen something so petty. From it taking forever to get the check right, to modifying the size of the portion when it was their fault, to getting no sympathy at all, it all felt like such an insult on so many levels. Not even an apology. Not coming back
This place is extremely hyper expensive, and the service sucks. Ordered three plates of rice (R1) for me and my two friends, and three orders of crab Rangoons, the food was pretty good nothing you couldn't make better from a frozen Walmart box meal.... Though, I'm moreso upset that it took them nearly an hour to give us our order, and they only gave our order to two of us, and we waited for about an hour, after the waiters repeatedly ignored us, and kept their to us backs every time they passed, But the bill came out to more than $125, with a single shot of tequila being $13. We asked why they would put a shot of tequila for $13, but they didn't know why, and left. We had to wait to get their attention again just so we can demand they not charge us for the 3rd plate they never gave us but they gave us alot of greef about it, definitely feel like they where taking advantage of us. I got the feeling that we weren't welcome their at all, and they just scammed us, been an extremely loyal customer ever since I found this place but I fear I'll never go back, the only reason I went was for the crab Rangoons anyways avoid if your an English speaker, not sure if they have a problem with us...
Don't skip the appetizers or the deserts. everything was top-notch from the presentation of the dishes to the service. It's a relatively small place but nicely decorated. Tried 2 curry and a tofu dish. Both were excellent. Finally, everythng is very reasonably priced. yum yum.
Very good food& excellent customer service
We were looking for Thai food and found Mum Mum in Trip Advisor. We go to the Hylton Center a lot but had never noticed this restaurant across the street. We’re very glad we found it. We ordered take out/ pick up and had a number of special requests. They accommodated everything in a very friendly and helpful way, including delayed pick up so we could drive to the location. Our soup, summer rolls and entrees were excellent, and packaged very well for traveling. The containers were substantial and helped keep the food warm. The taste was outstanding. We are fond of Thai food and have eaten in many such restaurants. Mum Mum is clearly one of the best. We will be back, it’s now our “ go to” for local Thai food.
Rude managers .I ordered from them through door dash and they let someone else take my order. When my dasher asked about the order they said someone took it and they weren’t going to help out or remake my order. I’ve had their food before and it’s mediocre. So I just got a refund. All in all I would t recommend this place.
Seems to always have good food. Staff is quite friendly but can be slow when busy. Very nice space and decor with huge outside patio.
Ordered a seafood Tom Tum soup that had one of squid, one shrimp and two mini mushrooms. Thanks but no thanks for the broth for $7.75 . I go to plenty of Thai restaurants and this was the most pathetic soup I have ever had . Won’t go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone.
This restaurant used to be great. I also really loved their other restaurant Zabb/Silk Thai when it was open. I ordered the basil fried rice as I have for the last 9 years. Lately the food has not been the same quality. It was dry, luke warm, and lacked the great flavor it usually has. Extremely disappointed. I hope it's better next time. I may have to find a new Thai restaurant.
The food (Drunken Noodles & Mum Mum Fried Rice) was delicious. The staff was welcoming and cordial.
