Cool concept, great for the game lover!
This place is great for getting together with family and friends alike. I've never seen a bigger selection of board games in my life - something for everyone. The selection of games is not the only impressive feature - the food was excellent and the staff friendly. They took good care of my wife's unique dietary requests without blinking an eye. The Hawaiian patty melt and tots were spectacular as were the fried mac 'n' cheese balls. The atmosphere is casual and cozy despite the games going on at each table.I wish it was not an hour away from home!
First time trying this place and had a lot of fun! We mentioned it was our first time and they told us what games we could choose from as they were showing us to our table which was nice. Both food and drink menu options were plentiful and I settled on the Dragon Burger and Elixir of Youth. Both were tasty and worth getting again. I'd opt for a different side though as the regular fries were just meh. Tater tots seemed to be the best of the table. Burger was a bit pricey at $15 but the quality seemed to justify most of it. Only thing is that it took 45+ minutes for us to get our food after ordering. Granted it was on First Friday so they got busier right after we arrived.As for the games we settled on one and it contained all the instructions/pieces/cards and was enjoyed by everyone.
This is unique and funky, fun pub. The place has almost any board/card game you can think of. You pick one, take to your table and play while you are drinking and eating. We had some of the wacky mixed drinks while we played, they were very good. If your looking for a place to hang out with friends, play games, have some drinks definitely give this pub a try.
If you see jambalaya on the menu don’t get excited. Very bland. Bartender didn’t understand what a “double” cocktail was, waitress brought out two singles. Had to literally explain to them what a double was. Offered to dump both drinks in a bigger glass as a consolation. Got a burger, asked for onion rings to substitute fries. Waitress said sure. Burger was delivered with fries and we were told even though they have onion rings to put on burgers they’re not allowed to serve as a side. Not all bad though, the burgers were good.
We've never seen a place like this before--so unique! The entire restaurant is lined with games and puzzles. A good share of them are new and for sale, but there is also a wall of shelves with games and puzzles you can enjoy while you are there, either to eat or have a drink. We just had drinks, but the place had a family feel to it, didn't seem like the kind of place you'd find people acting drunk. We really enjoyed seeing something new. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Fun place for a date or a group of friends to go out! With an interesting and fun drink menu there is something for everyone. We visited to playa new game and did after a couple rounds of a familiar one we don't own. Enjoyed the poutine and chicken fingers while we played and enjoyed our drinks.my mocktail was spicy and sweet - perfect for an afternoon of munchies and game play.Why 4 stars instead of 5? We said we were new and it was our first time there. I would have liked a little bit of orientation, like let me show you your table and then we will look at the games or something.
Will definitely be back again to play and or buy some games! Happened upon this spot looking for food in Old Town and loved it! We were lucky enough to be there for happy hour with fun drink names and food items on the happy hour menu. The Mac and cheese balls were called Golden Snitches which I thought was so cute! Good selection of beer and some very creative cocktails were on the menu that I definitely want to try. While there you can either buy one of their 2,000 different board games to play or you can borrow one of theirs to enjoy during your time. The prices are great and the food is good so it would be easy to spend a good amount of time here playing a game. Plus the tables are plenty large to spread out. If not for the food and drinks I would go back to browse the games. Great spot to pick up a unique gift.
A fabulous place for friends night or family fun! Always great staff and fun environment! Highly recommend.
