This is a nice place. Food was good, service was good. It's clean and they have a nice bar with a good selection of liquor. I'll be going back again to check out their dinner menu. There were 4 of us for lunch and the bill was $73 with no alcohol.

Business has gone way downhill. Especially when AJ is at the helm. Below is a picture of RARE prime rib aus jus. Called and spoke to manager AJ who was very crass. When discussing the issue he offered me a “discount” on my next meal. Really shocks me bc they used to have amazing food and even better customer service.
First visit and will definitely NOT be our last. The brunch buffet was excellent. The staff was very attentive, mimosa was great. This place was definitely worth the drive from Lake Ridge. I can not wait to try dinner there.
My wife, step daughter and her husband had brunch here. We were originally going to another place for breakfast but the place was full. We were all glad that it turned out that way. For Sunday brunch, City Tavern had a buffet which was really good. They had an omelette bar with fresh waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and gravy biscuits, home fries and then they had chicken wings, potato skins and more. They also had a nice dessert car. There were no complaints about any of the food from the 4 of us. I feel it was a good value and we will definitely go there again.
I love this place. The food is always great. The service is always top notch. The atmosphere is very down home-y. I bring my family here at least once a week.Give Sunday brunch a try. You won't be disappointed.
Well understand this is a tavern in the truest sense. I stopped in one weekday evening for a quick bite to eat, they have a decent happy hour on drink prices a bit loud as they have entertainment and it is a close space. The guy at the table next to me was literally shouting to talk which didn't do much for my enjoying my meal. They had a very good special to offer, with today's inflation got prime rib and 3 sides for 16.99 with my one bar drink total tab $20.00 well worth the loud music! It says they also have a great Sunday brunch as well looks good, who knew? Try it out!
Brunch was excellent! The food was fresh, tasty, great selection, and everyone was friendly, can’t wait to come back again.
Bad food. corned beef dinner disliked by all. It is last time we will visit restaurant. Have been at this restaurant many times but this was the worst.
