Beautiful setting, kind staff, was easy to book the reservation online. We all enjoyed our meals.
We had a wonderful experience at Skyline celebrating our anniversary. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful with menu suggestions. She remained attentive during the meal. We were also greeted with Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary which was a nice touch. We had the baked Brie appetizer. I had the salmon special with shrimp and a lemon aioli sauce. My husband had the trout. All selections were fantastic. We also enjoyed the Happy Hour beverage list. Drafts are $4 and several speciality cocktails $8. My husband tried two of their draft beers (great selection) and I had the Sky Tai which was delicious. We will absolutely be back!
Excellent food and Megan was good server!
Great place to go for a nice dinner and good view. As the sun was setting the skyline was beautiful. The staff is very friendly and the food was really great. I ordered the "SKYLINE.BURGER" and it was cooked perfectly, prepared nicely, and overall was juicy and delicious. The cocktail was designed and made well, though the small ice did dilute the drink a bit fast. I prefer an old fashioned with just one large cube. Overall the food and service was 5 stars.
It was warm and breezy outside - no rain, but they had the plastic sides down in the covered part of the porch so it was really hot and stuffy where we were seated. I asked to have them roll it up but basically was told it was too much trouble. Otherwise, it would have been lovely under the awning.
Food was great. Salads were very fresh. Highly recommend the Brie/fig appetizer. Server was very friendly and helpful.
My wife ordered the fresh tuna which has typically been excellent. However, this time it was sub par. When the manager asked how our meal s were, she told him the piece of tuna didnât taste good. The manager acknowledged that their source for the tuna hadnât been able to provide for them so they had tried a different source. He said out experience wasnât unique. He offered to make something else but by that time we were 25 minutes in to our reservation and I had begun eating mu hamburger, which was very good. My wife ate 1/2 of the piece of tuna, smothering it with some of the sauce provided, but that didnât change the blandness of the fish. It would have been appropriate for the manager or waitress to take the price of the tuna off the bill. Knowing that it wasnât a good piece of fish should have been the prompt to comp it. It wasnât and that didnât sit well with us. It should have been handled differently especially when theyâve been aware of the sub par quality of the fish. Weâve been consistent going there but may explore other options going forward. The staff is very friendly and we like the atmosphere. But we come to have good food.
We had a great server. Ambiance was nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Great view of the city.Unique menu with variety of options.Food was prepared perfect and flavor combinations were excellent. The Trout was delicious! Also plenty of drink options including about 10 Virginia craft beers. Was expecting it to be expensive but it was very reasonable.
The food and service are as good as the view. We go out of our way to drive to Lynchburg just to stay at THE VIRGINIAN HOTEL and enjoy the Skyline. Love it!
