We stopped at Mission House Coffee for breakfast on Sunday morning. We loved that there was a church service going on in the back area. The way they open up their space for gatherings and workspaces is awesome. It really shows their heart for the community. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy. The baristas were very kind and helpful at answering questions about the menu. I got a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. It was yummy and made well! Even better than the food was the latte! It got a spring special that had hints of rose in it. It was very well made! I am lactose intolerant, but they had plenty of milk alternatives. Overall, a great place to visit!
Amazing coffee shop (and incredible staff!!).I saw you could add Cayenne and asked my favorite barista Jacob to create a good drink... Dirty Chai with Cayenne, coconut, and several other flavors is to die for.I also had a grilled cheese pannini and my wife had a croissant since we were munchy too.Mission House has a round up for charity and a board where you can buy a coffee for a specific reason (or person). If downtown (or the mall) consider dropping in !!
Visiting my eldest daughter and her family for the weekend. Decided I wanted an evening coffee and was drawn to the description and reviews of this place. No disappointment. Staff super friendly. They were supporting a local charity that helps kids being moved into foster care (I rounded up to back that support). And the seasonal drink they made me was spectacular. So much to like about this place! Don't miss it if you're in Lynchburg!
Ordered the roast beef panini and it was excellent. Highly recommend. Good, chill atmosphere. Polite and quick service. Check it out!
Had the absolute best frappe I’ve ever tasted in my life! Hazelnut Mocha with a caramel drizzle & whipped cream. Highly recommend!
I’ve never had a bad coffee here! My go to spot for good drinks and lots of table space to work or hang!
one of my favorites!! the baristas are the best, there is so much room to come and study or just hangout, and the coffee is 10/10! The best part is their seasonal drinks, you gotta try one!
They are always so kind and friendly and they are quick to help if you are indecisive about what to get. It’s a calming atmosphere to study or even if you need a mental break from work. Can’t ask for a better place to get a coffee!
I needed to be near downtown, so I chose a random coffee, as I do every so often. This one had a large workspace area toward the rear of the building that is great for students or working on a larger project. Instead of trying to cram in around a small table, these are larger, more banquet sized tables, with 4 or more chairs to each one.plenty of room for coffee, a pastry and a project with no elbow caused mishaps.I only needed the smaller space, so I stayed at the front at a smaller table that allowed me to write and sip coffee.I always ask what the staff like, and they both recommended a couple of options. I went with a S'mores coffee that was exactly the right thing. If they'd have had any kind of gluten-free baked items, because baked goodies make every day better, it would have been perfect. They didn't have any in the case that day, though I was told they often do.
Good location, close to all day parking by the train tracks. Decent coffee and affordably priced food, a good place to work at.My main complaints would be about the space. The large back room is really lacking in charm, and the tables are uncomfortably high compared to the chairs, you can't comfortably set a laptop or notepad on the tables.
