Hands down some of the best food we've had we had some Mushu pork, shrimp fried rice, some chicken lo mein and some pork egg rolls. The food was amazing the portions were large the staff was friendly and our meal got to us pretty quick even though they were pretty busy. 10 out of 10 worth a try.
We are working in VA and love sushi, saw this place and tried it, the restaurant is beautiful, eloquent and charming, the employees are ALL professional, kind and helpful. The food was excellent!!! We ordered a custom roll as well as other foods, with no reservations, the sushi chef made our roll and nailed it! The prices are modest also. The hot and sour soup was perfect! Even the side salad was top notch.. ? If we ever come back to VA we will most definitely be eating here again..and again! I'm so grateful for such a lovely restaurant experience that exceeded my expectations. These people need an award!! They are doing it right at King Island!! Pure perfection in every way!!
After 2 years of no indoor dining, King's Island Restaurant is now fully open and ready to serve you. The menu options are plentiful and delicious. The wait staff are attentive and helpful.
I miss eating in, but even with take out, the quality is the same. For 2 years, We've ordered sushi, soups, chef menu, apps...everything through take out and the service is impeccable and the food is delicious as always. Recommend.

My only Chinese food experience is Americanized style so with that disclaimer I have to say King’s Island has always been my go to. Sweet and sour chicken is my jam and KI has the best in the Burg. Their sesame chicken is also a favoritePre Covid their buffet was on point but it seems those days are over. On a positive note their takeout setup since the pandemic has been very efficient
The Dragon Rolls here are by far the best around. We always order them along with Hunan Chicken Five Star. Excellent food at this restaurant no matter what. The staff is always friendly and attentive to patrons. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of food. This is by far one of the best restaurants in Lynchburg and they stay busy! We have never had a bad experience here. If you have not visited, you must put this on your list!!
Looked for a quick lunch while up here and was told to check out this place. It was labeled as "Chinese American Japanese" and the menu was quite all over the place! I would say that less is more, sometimes, but to each their own!Anyway, the staff were pleasant and the order came quickly. The rice was a little dry, but the chicken and the dumplings were both fine. I'll try another dish if I'm up here again! Maybe General Tsao next time!
pricey, I get my regular: 2 chicken & broccoli, fried rice, and an egg roll for like $16. I do takeout at the walk up window or call in. cooked in like 10-15 minutes. opened in the snow?
