Huge portion and a very fair price for the high quality food. It was SO good! I got the Chicken BBQ Tater and added a side of the Fire & Ice pickles; I ended up with enough food for 2 meals. I could have easily spend this much on mediocre (at best) fast food, but instead, I got a home cooked lunch and was able to support a local business in the process. Rating this one 6 out of 5 stars.
During our short visit, many people recommended this place. We had the ribs, chicken and sausage. All tasted very tender and flavorful. And you don’t want to miss their pickles. Highly recommend!
Best barbecue I've had in the state of Virginia. Excellent food, excellent service - staff are very friendly and make an effort to remember names. Only issue I have is that the restaurant gets sold out sometimes - but I suppose that's just more evidence that it's amazing. 6 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended
Without a doubt, the best BBQ I have ever had! It’s not even close. Been here twice and both times I’ve been blown away by the incredible flavors. For reference I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the smoaked chicken. Their sauces are out of this world too, especially “The Don”. Prices are very fair. Cannot wait to try their brisket.
Hands down the best restaurant in Lynchburg. They have the best Mac and cheese. The greens are delicious and one of my favorite meats from them is actually their smoked chicken covered in white sauce. I was never a smoked chicken fan but they have made me a believer. My parents came to visit me in January and I took them there for lunch. Every time I spoke to them they let me know how excited they were to have some good BBQ again. They are here now in May and we enjoyed another amazing lunch at County Smoak. So glad that such a quality restaurant is so close to home.
We had BBQ from you all for an event yesterday; it was absolutely delicious, and we are funny about our bbq. Cooked perfectly and good flavor!!! Highly recommend!!
We almost missed the place. Small place right next to a mini golf. Very friendly staff. We had a 3 meat combo platter. There was enough left over to make a really nice brisket sandwich. Smoked chicken and double brisket made it just over $30. Definitely more than enough for 3 people. No drinks included. The smoked brisket was tender and very good. The smoked chicken was awesome as well. It would be a place to return to for sure. They have grown in the most difficult times. Despite all of the shutdowns.
I tried County Smoak recently! Both times the staff was polite and my order was correct. The 1st time, I ordered in person since I had never been there. And they second time I ordered online, both times were super easy! And the FOOD: was so delicious. Both times I got the 3 meat plates: Chicken, Pork and Brisket. Sides: mac n cheese and pit beans (baked beans) and pickles are sweet n spicy. And they sauce that come with them are soo ? good!! Definitely must try and try and try again! Really excited to have a good BBQ spot in Lynchburg that has good food.

Super, solid BBQ. Stopped in on a visit in town. Went with the brisket Sammie. Big, excellent brisket. Tried several sauces as well, all interesting. The meat shined through. Old school quality, nice folks. Good beans, too. Look them up.
