Tried their southern fried chicken salad which was great and a huge portion, and their cheese quesadilla appetizer (was good but nothing crazy). Their cocktails at the bar are really good value, not that expensive and very delicious. Would recommend grabbing a drink there for sure.A few years back we also did their catering for my husband and my wedding rehearsal dinner. Food was delicious and would recommend considering them for larger parties and events. Still glad to see they've kept their quality food and service going after all this time. ?
This has always been one of our favorite restaurants when visiting Lynchburg. We have been coming here for over twenty years. We recently moved to Forest and have eaten here on several occasions since. It appeared that the menu had less choices and the prices were considerably higher. We went there Thursday after my son’s physical therapy. My wife commented on the prices and lack of selections. She is not particular but was not happy with the baked salmon and the cost. I ordered lemonade which was terrible and when I started to tell the waitress she asked me if I wanted something else. Obviously she knew it was bad when serving it. Perhaps you heard about the lizard on the wall of our booth. It was very upsetting to my wife and son. I had the country club sandwich which was okay but very small. My son liked his salmon salad which he usually orders. The bill came to $58.18 before the tip, for lunch . We will never go back! I think because of the lizard we should have received a discount and my drink should have been comped. Very disappointed!
Great service, really good food. Clean premises and the rare establishment that knows it patrons - set up for large families/groups. In town for a University Graduation and was impressed with their set-up game for all us relatives of grads wanted to celebrate in Town.

Better than I had expected. The Catfish Sandwich was good but i think a little over priced.I understand that many of the locals have a high opinion of the restaurant and I would have given a 5 star rating had the prices been lower. I have visited several eateries while in town and found the prices are generally lower for sandwiches and short meals than Charley's menu reflects.Again, what i had and what my wife had were good, and if you don't mind paying a little more, it is worth going there. Yes, we would go back.

Had been a while and probably will be awhile before I go back. Waiter /hostess just told us to sit down. Had little to say. Threw our menus down. When we told him we needed a few minutes he just walked off. Ahi tuna was plain hardly sliced . Waiter brought our food didn’t say anything literally tossed the tortilla container off a plate and walked away. Not very attentive. Giving benefit of the doubt but not going to be one of my recommendations. Food was plain, menu was simple , sodas were stale but waiter didn’t ask . Someone else brought our ticket and cashed us out . I left a tip but wouldn’t have probably pre covid

Well my order was incorrect. I asked for rice for my side order and got broccoli instead. My lady asked balsamic vinegarette and was given ranch dressing instead. Her salad consisted of brown lettuce. My lady asked for mixed vegetables , so my waiter brought the mixed veggies and rice on the same plate instead of having it separate. The dish he highly suggested was bland. My first and only time visiting this place.
