I generally do not write negative reviews, however we had food tasting today for my reception and had one of the worst tasting in my life. I have been to several food tasting for My brother and cousins wedding and this was the worst one, even a 1 star restaurant would have better food and service.The appetizers were basically frozen and seemed like they were prepared before we even got there. The quality was below average for any Indian restaurants in DMV area. We literally tried like 7 to 8 appetizers and we were not satisfied with any of them. The entrees were little better and fresh than the appetizers, however they were still not the worth the price they have on their website. They charge $50 per person for tasting and give us literally frozen food for example you could not even bite their Khasta Kachori.It seemed like the Owner did not even care about our business or our tasting experience. He barely came for 5 second at our table to meet and did not even ask us about our tasting experience.I would highly suggest looking for other catering options or definitely schedule tasting before booking them for your event.
Food is great! Went twice- both for dinner. Chicken always cooked perfectly, sauces are so creamy and flavorful. Wings have a great flavor, there’s plenty of beer to be had. Naan is cooked perfectly. My father has never had Indian food before, what a great first experience for him!! Next time I’ll have to try the goat!
My husband brought a plate of Chicken Tikka Masala home after a Friendsgiving dinner catered by Silk Banquet and Catering. I was a little skeptical about the taste since we don’t usually eat Indian food but after trying the first bite, we kept wanting more and more. The dish was exquisite with a little touch of spice and very enjoyable. We highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t tried. We will gladly eat it again!
We had a few parties at silk. Some were good and some were not so. I think it depends on the menu. But one we had last weekend, the food was not up to mark. I even fell sick the next day.The party we went to a month back had much better food at same venue.
I generally do not write reviews, however this time I was bound to write one because of the exceptional service provided by Sanjeev and his team for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday party. We catered the event with SILK Banquet and Catering and truly had an amazing experience. The food was exceptionally good and almost everyone appreciated the food, especially the goat curry which was super delicious. Also, not just the food was great the service provided by Sanjeev & his team was out of ordinary. I sincerely want to Thank Sanjeev (owner of Silk) for being there at the event and making sure all the arrangements are done well. He really focused on the quality of food, wonderful presentation and had arrangements to ensure the food is served hot at all times, which is really critical when it comes to food. Thank you Sanjeev for making our event highly memorable, making us feel like a most valuable customer and putting in all your efforts to make it a success.
Lovely ambiance..great food..perfect for partying ?
