Me and my son wanted to try a new place for breakfast , came to that diner. It was not as busy but people was waiting inside and manager or server kept yelling to move on a side .. which made entrance too crowded. We got seated and a party at the table next to us was so loud .. so this is not a place to sit and enjoy a meal .. we asked server for some recommendations and did not receive any helpful answer , she did not provide a kids menu as well and my son was very upset . At the end we shared a breakfast sandwich, which was good. I paid cash but did not know It was charged extra 1 dollar .. not sure if we will be back .
We have officially reached double digits in visits to Leesburg Diner. It’s tucked away in downtown Leesburg and we love coming here after church on Sundays. I love the older establishments for breakfast, such as here and Spanky Shenanigans over newer places. With that said, we have yet to get a chance to try First Watch, but we really love Bakers Crust over in Lansdowne area.Even with that, we love coming here. It has a great menu for larger groups with the variety. But it also has the “simple” staples of a diner done extremely well. We love the food, the atmosphere, and the location. The kids love it too, we typically order the chocolate chip pancakes and they split it because it comes with two pancakes and a side of your choice of breakfast protein.I typically get the LD breakfast special, which is two eggs, meat, toast, and your choice of hash browns, grits, or home fries. I add on a pair of chocolate chip pancakes because I live for breakfast food. For their coffee, I have to say, it’s brewed fresh and you can tell.I’ll add that I don’t have pics of other items we’ve tried, like their French toast, the breakfast quesadilla, and some of their omelets, but we’ve really enjoyed everything we’ve had so far. Their milkshakes are really good too.Things I’m set to try after seeing them plated for others.-Super coffee vanilla drink looked good-banana beignet bites-the Leesburger- “firecracker” mozzarella sticks-seafood fritter
Been here a few times and every time the service is quick and friendly and the food is amazing. Today I got the Chicken and Waffles and it was fantastic. And I’m a coffee hound and the coffee is actually really good. Nice and strong but not too strong, and smooth. Can’t wait to try a homemade milkshake. Bravo folks, I’ll keep coming back.
Love everything about this place. Staff are welcoming and attentive. Atmosphere is great. Food is yummy. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Diner.
Trying to follow my "unknown" craving and we stumbled upon this diner. Great service! As if I went to visit a relative and welcomed us with OmGosh perfect breakfast. Best country fried steak and eggs I've ever had. We ordered more. But I'm too excited to wait until after meal to let people know about what they're missing if they haven't been here at all. Because we've been living in Loudoun for 18 years and it's my first time here!!!!UPDATE: Don't leave without ordering the Banana Beignet Bites ❤❤❤
Absolutely perfect restaurant! Perfect modern vintage decor, wonderful staff, delicious food in large portions, great coffee, unbelievable location. Warning: you may stay way longer than you expect. The only downfall was that we were so satisfied that we spent 5 more hours downtown and we were late leaving town. ????
Good spot for breakfast. The coffee was excellent. Just a note, if you are using a credit card, they add on a service charge of $1. Guessing this is how they recoup their credit card expense of submitting.
What a wonderful place to eat in at in downtown Leesburg. Food is great and the service is even better.
Restaurant entrepreneurs, please take note. We moved to Leesburg a couple of years ago and have experienced the Leesburg Diner several times. Each time, I was hoping for a better experience, considering the impact of the pandemic; but ultimately disappointed. The seating is uncomfortable, with vertical plywood benches and plumbing parts for table legs… is this supposed to be charming?? The coffee consistently tastes like battery acid like it has been on the burner for 3 weeks. When asked, the claim has been this is special organic coffee. However, I am thinking it is more like bulk buy Maxwell House, exposed to open air for months, with too many scoops in the filter. The eggs and omelets are always over cooked or burned. The home fries are clearly boxed potatoes purchased from the Sam’s Club freezer section. Nothing is fresh. The only thing positive that I have experienced, is that the staff is usually friendly. Unfortunately, there are no alternatives in Leesburg, if you are looking for a nice family diner for breakfast or lunch. There are only fast food chains or IHOP; Leesburg Diner is the only family style diner in the area. An example of what right looks like would be the Virginia Kitchen in Herndon, VA. Can you open a location in Leesburg, please?
Way overpriced. $55 for a diner breakfast for 2 people?!? Had high hopes when walking in that we found our new go to breakfast spot. Food was decent. Nothing to write home about. Nice atmosphere. Just way too expensive for what it is. Could’ve just waited until dinner and gone to a nicer restaurant for the cost of this breakfast. Worth the drive to Sterling to save $20 and have better food.
