Fun, kitschy soft serve spot. Built in a little house there is ample off street parking and outdoor seating (uncovered). The combinations are tasty and creative. The staff is young, fun, and helpful.My family got a bunch of unusual things. The standout was the banana/chocolate twist cone. Strawberry/vanilla was a delight too. Their sundaes are huge and may need a second round of toppings.If you are on a stroll through downtown Leesburg or just driving through, it’s definitely worth a quick stop!Their motto is “See ya tomorrow!”
Grutos is alright. If you ask my kids and wife though, they’d give it five stars. I will add this though, I am not a big soft serve type person, I like my local creameries, like tipped cow and honey bee, and I even love cold stone and just traditional ice cream above all. So my review is based on my family and others who enjoy this type of ice cream.I wanted to add that disclaimer, as Grutos really is a soft serve specialty and they have some of the best options I’ve seen. My kids and wife have plenty to choose from and they tend to try something new each time.The place is always packed with customers and they do a great job with their service. It’s a nice little shop and atmosphere as well.I would recommend it for folks that enjoy this style. I’d definitely go here over the sweet frogs of the world, it’s just a better option.
Great ice cream and great people. Since moving to the area we have gone there a number of times. Recommend trying the banana ice cream, tastes like real bananas. Have not tried the shakes yet but going to the next time we go.
Really good soft serve.Remember in the movie "Pulp Fiction" when Uma Thurman orders a $5 shake?Hopefully hers was as good as their $5 shake.Good stuff, high quality, clean, pretty quick service even when they're busy.
My son's favorite place for a milkshake! The ice cream is really good too. Friendly people working here too.
Worst milkshake I ever had. I would not recommend them. I literally threw it out before I left after one sip.
