Wooboi has hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches for takeout I have ever had. We had plans to dine in as we were staying in the area on a trip and didn't realize the size of the dine in area so the place was packed with nowhere to sit. We saw people ordering to go so we decided to still take a chance and order takeout, and I am so glad we did. I got the sando with no spice and my husband got the keto level 1. The flavors were so good! We also got a large waffle fry and they were delicious. The dipping sauce was on point. The large is definitely more than enough for two people. The establishment was clean, and the service was friendly and surprisingly fast for how busy they were. They lived up to the great reviews they have for sure. I'm leary of spice but tried my husband's level 1 and liked it. Next time he's going to try a level 2 as he likes heat, but didn't want to jump off the deep end first try. If we find ourselves back in the area we will absolutely be back.
Amazing chicken here!!!!! I absolutely love everything on the menu and constantly crave their chicken sandwich when I'm not nearby. I want to try their hottest spice level but I'm kind of afraid. I do well with a 4 out of 5 and truly enjoy the spice level without it being overwhelming. Everything here is amazing!!! It definitely gets crowded during lunchtime, but it is so worth the wait.
Level 2 spice was good, might be able to hit level 3. Son tried level 1 and it still had a good amount of kick. I got the Sando, a massive sandwich probably bordering on 1lb total weight. Great value. Tasty sweet potato fries that could have used a little more time in the fryer.
Best fried chicken sandwich hands down! I couldn’t resist taking a bite before taking a photo. Huge piece of chicken in the sandwich which makes it enough to fill you up. The fries are amazing as well! Can’t wait to go back ?
I’ve been trying Hot Chicken sandwiches everywhere I go and have been partial to the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich style. I’ve had the popular joints in Nashville as well as in the Northern VA area and my absolute favorite so far had been Hot Chickn Kitchn in Dale City. But after reading so many interesting posts on social media about Wooboi, I wanted to give this a try, so I stopped in for lunch on a Thursday. The atmosphere is interesting, they’ve got very loud Latin dance music playing (too loud for all the business-looking folks there for lunch to have a reasonable conversation) and it’s basically a walk-up counter with a fryer behind it and lots of employees pumping out hot chicken, in sandwiches (they call them “Sando”), tenders, etc. The trash bin in the lobby was piled high, on the counter around it with trash that wouldn’t fit in the slot anymore, because the trash hadn’t been emptied. The lobby/dining room floor area had pieces of waffle fries on it scattered about (Just my first observations), ubt I really wanted to give this a try, so I placed an order for a medium heat sando with waffle fries as a side (it’s all a ’la carte). The wait was rather long, but admittedly, they were pretty busy with carry-out orders. I didn’t time it, but would assume I waited about 20 minutes for my food to come up. It was interesting watching the kitchen work, they were pretty fast and had an interesting assembly line. One guy was literally tossing chicken into a box and another was packing those boxes into these green bags and calling out pickup order numbers. On to the food – The bread on the sandwich was outstanding! Nice, sweet and buttery. The pickle was good, the slaw was very complimentary (though not very flavorful) to the chicken. The seasoning on the chicken was awesome! Upon taking my first bite, I was confused (As I wasn’t too impressed thus far and assumed folks have been giving high rating based on their inexperienced palates) because it was better than I thought it would be, so I gave another bite… Within a minute, I was three big bites in and was loving this sandwich! *Warning* Even with the diaper on it, it’s still messy, as the sauce dripped all over my pants and the table, so be prepared! Fortunately, they have lots of napkins on the tables! The waffle fries were good, they had an interesting BBQ seasoning blend, that almost comes off as a saltier/sweeter Old Bay all over them… But they were too salty for my liking. Their dipping sauce was ok, but heavy with a mayo flavor and not much bite or anything interesting. I used it to dumb-down the saltiness of the fries. The medium heat level was respectable, not very spicy… I believe this was the third of six levels though. The flavor of the heat and sauce was great and the texture of the chicken was as well. I worry about consistency here, given the ‘interesting’ process they use to make the food (watching the cook literally toss chicken into fry baskets, rather than “place” them in, same with tossing the food into the boxes… seems just odd. I have to say, they did impress me with the flavor of the sandwich, but the service was bordering on bad, tho it wasn’t due to anything overt, it was simply the lack of appearing to care about customer and food, lack of the cashier presenting a nice, welcoming demeanor and the lack of keeping the dining room, restroom and floor clean. So, I would personally say that on this particular visit I enjoyed one of the better hot chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had! But, Hot Chickn Kitchn is still my absolute favorite… In fact, I put HCK above Hattie B’s, Prince’s and Party Fowl (all popular joints in Nashville).
Man I came in for a small snack and just hit the tenders ? they were so huge and juicy. Very flavorful. Those waffle fries looked amazing and wish I was hungrier.
Probably the best chicken you're going to find in the area. They cook your order when you order it so it always takes a few minutes to get what you ordered. You might sacrifice some time for some better tasting, fresher chicken. The tenders are great, always as fresh (and hot) as humanly possible. The spice will REALLY get you on the tenders, so unless you're a spicy food pro, start cautiously. The sandwich, with coleslaw, is great at cutting some heat, which is great, because I think the higher levels of spicy are also more flavorful.
The chicken sandwich and fried okra are scrumptious and quite delicious. It is usually pretty busy inside so I recommend the take out option. Staff is friendly and is able to get an order prepared quickly. They are very helpful for suggestions on what to eat if nothing jumps out to you, that's how I discovered their wonderful fried okra.
Awesome Chicken Sando Level 3 Hot is not too hot and the slaw and pickles balanced it out. Fries where nice and crispy with a soft inside.
I recommend to try the classic sandwich. They fries are really good and you will get a full chicken breast for the meal.
