It is not tamil food. It is more Telugu food with telugu style sambar and vada. The problem is it is salty , tasteless so you cannot taste the food. I ordered cut mirchi, it was so fat with so much basen(chikpea flour), it was tasteless as you cannot taste the chilli inside. Tamils use more asafoetida, make it crspier and keeping taste of vegetables intact. The choley/chana masala has so much garlic and was so stinky. Tamil vegetarian use less garlic and have crispier vada.The food is unpredictable and rip off paying so much for unhealthy, tasteless food.Also, it is a pickup place and you cannot sit and eat there.. Will skip this place.
Food is great at Sai Sarvana Bhavan. Curries are made fresh, really tasty and have always been consistent. I've seen different options of veg curries at this place compared to others in Virginia. Although the restaurant does not offer dine in, I'd highly recommend this place to try out.They also offer meal packages such as Rush Lunch for $11.99, 5 day meal package for $49.99 and family meal package for $35.99.
What magic is this? Food is so good here, family asked for more after eating it for 2 days straight. I sometimes don't know what I'm ordering, but it's always excellent. For my fellow WASPs, I suggest bringing a phone to look up some of the names, since their menu board doesn't include descriptions. Or just pick something. I will be crazy good. The price can't be beat, either.
Excellent TO GO South Indian Food. The following, which is a breakfast platter of Idli, Vada, Pongal and Sweet + Sambar , Coconut chutney, Spicy tomato chutney is ONLY 9$. Excellent and Consistant Quality Everytime I go there.The Coconut chutney was so fresh that I ate that before taking the picture... MUST TRYThis place is inside the Lotte in Herndon.
Great South Indian food. Palak Dal Wada is amazing. Dosas are great, BIsse Belle Bhath was great, but sambhar and Bisse Belle is getting less and less tasty since last 2 months. They need to keep their consistency up
Excellent food and fast. It’s a takeout booth hidden in the back of Lotte in Herndon. Saag Paneer, and Choice of 65 Paneer and Cauliflower were all awesome.
This tiny hole-in-the-wall takeout place inside Lotte is a godsend! I have friends and family speckled throughout the region and we're all in love with this place, opting to drive up to an hour to come here for its authentic Tamil hotel sambar and various tiffin items to go along with it. From its extra large and fluffy idlis to its vadas seasoned just right to its ghee pongal that reminds me of home, the food here is hands-down the best if you're looking for a satisfying meal that fills your stomach without emptying your wallet.
Food is fresh and tasty. Good quantity for the price. However, as with most Indian joints, hygiene is not the best. Guy taking and fulfilling orders needs to be more disciplined. I saw him eat his lunch inside, wash hands without soap, go out for a smoke, go out to get rice bags, back to his perch, handle credit cards and then handle food with bare hands. Please be more conscientious about hygiene.
Their food is delicious. I have ordered dosa and sabjis like mushroom malabar, veg korma. They’re all yum! And today their mango lassi with a touch of rose (or whatever that pink thing was) made my day. 5 stars!
Absolutely loved their food. It was so fresh and the quality and quantity both were up to the mark. Prices are very reasonable as well.
