4 stars because the food is so well prepared and tasty! Loses a star because there are to few items to select from as compared to pre-COVID (also the buffet price went up 25% to $15.99). Had to ask for bread, Had to wait 45 minutes + for the tandoori chicken to show up on the buffet (I think another customer had to ask about it)
Arrived shortly after they opened. I was expecting slow service and cold food. However, when the customer service was great, food was well prepared, and things arrived on time I was impressed. Overall, the menu has a diversity of items that were quite common, but valued. Hope to return soon.
This is my all time favorite restaurant for Indian food. I've never eaten in the restaurant but have ordered take-out and delivery many times. Everything has always been delicious and exactly what I asked for. They even gave me free samosas one time (either in error or as a gift, I don't know). The malai kofta and chili garlic potato are a 12/10 and you have to get a side of raita to cover everything in. Highly recommend this place!
Your favorite CHETTINADU CHICKEN!For almost a year and a half, I was ordering Chettinadu Chicken from this place. Lately, I was feeling that there was something wrong with the dish. Last time I ordered this chicken from Mayuri was on 05/31/2022. I couldn't finish the whole thing and kept it in refrigerator. Next day it look horribly wrong. I went to the restaurant and spoke to Mr. Pradeep (owner), and he said that it is not Chettinadu Chicken. I asked, "what do you think, am I lying". And he said. "May be". He doesn't really understand how to treat customers. Note: I showed him the picture (attached) and also took the receipt with me. Eventually he said that it might be chicken oil and refunded my money. I have never experienced this kind of issue before at any other place.
Our favorite Indian Restaurant in the area. We get takeout from here about once a week. Usually is ready quickly, have only had small issues with orders that they were very quick to fix. We recommend the spinach lamb!
First time visiting this restaurant in Herndon. The service staff were respectful, timely, and willing to check with us on spice level. We ordered a mix of vegetarian indo-chinese and south and north indian veg dishes. The bhindi masala (okra) was thoroughly cooked and correctly soft with plenty of flavor. We asked for medium spice and got exactly that. All styles of food had good flavor profiles. The price is relatively the same as most decent Indian restaurants. We will certainly be returning.
I went lunch buffet on weekend and being a veggie I was quite surprised at the breakfast and veggie options available. I highly recommend and everything tastes great as well. Definitely will visit again soon.
Delicious, I love this place! My new go to lunch spot. They have awesome lunch boxes which means I get to try new stuff. :)
One of the best Dosa and Batata Bhaji in DMV. Woodlands, A2B, Saravanna Palace, Aditi, Balaji Cafe every other south indian restaurant has some random bhaji served ad masala. This is the genuine kind of Bhaji. The peanut garlic chutney is amazing, Sambhar needs drastic improvement, still better than most. But great food
Got to give props on take out dinner from Mayuri last night. Chef can cook good Indian food and the portions are very fair. No way this restaurant deserves a 3.9 average so hopefully my review takes it over the 4.0 average score.A few more specifics; always order a side of Raita which is a necessary condiment (like Lime Pickle Hot) for Indian cuisine. Yes I like my condiments.Kudos on the Gongura Chili Chicken an appetizer that slays your buds. Biryani is for you rice fans but the Lamb Biryani had plenty of lamb in it. Naan was very good but next time I will order a second order for the two of us. Aloo Gobi Masala has potato and cauliflower in it. Would like more Cauli and less potato especially with all the rice we had. Finally the samosa chaat was tasty and a good starter. It’s been a long time since I ordered Indian food as I haven’t been to a lunch buffet since Covid began but it was a fine experience taking out at Mayuru. 5 Stars!
