I'd leave 0 stars if possible. I personally really like Café Rio, but this location has made us never want to order from them again. My mother in law ordered a meal from them via post mates and when the driver delivered it my meal (nachos) was a taco salad and our chips and guac had no chips. I checked the receipt that came with the bag, and the order was listed correctly on the reciept so either our order got mixed up in the restaurant or the restaurant didn't read it correctly. My husband went back to ask for a refund/our order to be fixed, and the manager told him he couldn't do anything and the third party app was responsible for the refund. When my husband said post mates wasn't responsible for the incorrect food another employee got involved and asked why we didn't bring our food back and effectively accused us of trying to scam/steal food. Overall a very bad experience with poor customer interaction. We won't be visiting this location in the future.
I always go to the manassas location since it is closer to me but I was in the area and stopped at this one. This location blew me away. Food was great and they gave great portions. All of the staff here were also amazing.
If you’re in Reston I definitely recommend cafe rio if your craving for some Mexican. Personally I like the salad bowl but the nachos are also something to go for. 10/10 for me.
Food is always good but service, especially take out is often disjointed. I ordered on the app and was told my order would be ready at 4 pm. I arrived shortly after 4 pm, my order was ready but not yet assembled and bagged for me to pick up. I had to wait for it to get prepared. I've had similar experiences on most occasions that I go there for pickup. Hopefully this can get smoothed out as this very small but necessary step usually tacks on 5-10 minutes from the originally provided ready time for pickup.
Haven't had that bad meal in a restaurant in a very long time. I just couldn't eat what i got. The only reason i give 2 stars instead of 1 is bcz employees were nice.
This chain has an outstanding menu and concept, however this location is not the cleanest or best managed.The house drinks which are delicious, were empty and were not refilled after we asked numerous times.The cooking staff were very good and professional, however the cashiers and supporting staff seemed disinterested and lazy! The tables were filthy and I did not see anyone cleaning. The location in Chantilly seems much better managed. Love their food, but not sure if I will come back to this location.
Its good but it could be better,you can barely ask questions cause the lady at the tortilla station gets anoyd if you talk to her and the service guys are good servers,thanks.
The staff had so much attitude. No 'thank you', no 'please', no 'welcome', nothing. No courtesy at all. They were acting like they are doing me a favor by serving me. When I told them the bottles of the hot sauce are empty, they were acting like I asked them for their kidneys and the Mexican guy who was chopping the chicken mumbled something in Mexican. It was obvious that they hated me for asking for new bottle of hot sauce. Later when I asked them for the leads for the takeout container, the receptionist gave me the lead but made me wait for like 2 minutes to give me a plastic bag. She was completely ignoring me while I was standing right in front of her. Disgrace.
I’ve enjoyed Cafe Rio in the past - I can’t seem to get the website to work for online ordering anymore (doesn’t matter the internet browser)
