Anita's is a New Mexico style restaurant, the first one I had ever been to. I usually get take out there because they charge extra to dine in.I usually go with breakfast egg burritos, they are cheap and loaded with good stuff and only like 330 calories each. Today I went with the "Biscuits and Gravy" which includes biscuits, gravy, fried potatoes, and scrambled eggs. The food and pricing are great. I highly recommend it.
The Herndon Anita's is a small place. Staff are nice. Decent amount of free parking on their lot. Food is consistently good. Some folks rave about the breakfast burritos, I really need to try them. My core beef is about the lack of shrimp tacos, NO shrimp tacos! If you want shrimp you have to get a much pricer fajita. This will keep me away from being a regular customer, I need shrimp tacos! This place is very close to the W&OD bicycle trail. Close to Jimmy's Old Town pub, a popular watering hole.. Close to Aslin beer company, a great new brew place in downtown Herndon. They have some limited outdoor seating.Food is prepared quickly.
their breakfast burritos ?.... it may not look like much, but the cheese, egg, potato all wrapped up so I can pour that red sauce into it.....damn I'm hungry again
Very good breakfast burritos to give me diarrhea in the morning. Who the heck still eat egg sausage cover with flour in the morning in 2020s era. Good to increase death wish.
tired lunch option today. Didn't like it. Seems this restaurant won't serve a fresh guacamole . Ordered Fajita's and Burrito bowl. I feel Taco Bell would server better food.
The service was great. The food was good. However it was $20 per person to eat here. For the quality and amount it was not worth it. Also they had a frosted glass door on the bathroom that looked out to the dining rooms. They also have a drive-thru at this location. Out of all the Anita's Restaurants, this was the best in food and service.
Ever since Taco Bell did me wrong by getting rid of the Mexican Pizza I have found a new love in Anita's. They have awesome Mexican Pizzas! Also love the soup here. :)
This is not Mexican food this is South American food!!! There isn’t even any Mexican dishes on the menu it’s all South American stuff drowned in sauce to try and cover up the bad flavor.
The food is okay but being from California really makes me miss authentic mexican food. Anita' food is close to it but I do feel like I had a stomach ache after eating my rice, beans, and echiladas.
The food was okay for the price. The salsa was pretty much liquid so be sure to have some well placed napkins or you might spill some of it on yourself. I think without the sauce on my burrito my meal would have been a little bit better. The rice and refried beans were fine overall. They don't serve horchata here. The server did a decent job with making sure my friend and I were taken care of.
