We have driven passed Peking for years and finally ate here today. The food (Ta-Chien Chicken) had just the right amount of spice for me and our son (Chendu Beef) and the hubby enjoyed his Sweet and Sour Shrimp as well. The waitress Christy ( hope I spelt that properly) was pleasant and very attentive and even asked if there were any allergies when she told us spring rolls were made with shrimp and offered options. We will definitely be back.
Excellent! Wonderful staff, very curtious, attentive and kind. The spring roll was flaky, fresh, light, very tasty and melted in your mouth. The Sesame Chicken with fried rice was Excellent also! Tender chicken, fresh with perfect coating and seasoning. Generous serving! Wonderful experience and comfortable dining area. Happily recommend and they can accommodate larger groups! Enjoy! ?
Sat In. Ordered Happy Family, which was salty and lacking meat. Sesame chicken and general Tso Shrimp was good. More sweet than spicy.Waitstaff was inattentive to our party, and was heavily stressing, "If the tip was left..."Sad when the expectations is to not receive a tip, that the waitstaff forgets to show quality customer service.
I recently stopped in to have dinner with friends for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I was in awe at the cleanliness of the restaurant and the service of the staff. I wanted to try some of the foods I was used to elsewhere and I am glad I did. The wonton soup was delicious and had huge wontons in the soup. We also ordered the spare ribs and I was licking my finger. The ribs has a tangy-sweet honey BBQ sauce on them and were not dry and hard to chew. They were meaty and tender to the bone. Much better than other local Chinese places. The price was lower as well but still competitive. I was truly impressed. The portions were much larger than the competition as well. I had enough left on my platter for 2nds at home. We also ordered dumplings and boy were they good. again, much larger than other places and this had more flavor to them as well. We tried different dishes and there were no complaints about any of them. We didn't leave hungry and enjoyed our meal to the finest. Great service and very attentive. We were pleased at the dinner tab and it didn't break the bank. The food wasn't salty or greasy either. We will return in fact I think this is our go-to for Chinese now. You must try it.
A delicious meal with great service. Got the appetizer sampler, the shrimp lo mein and the sesame chicken combo plate- all great. Also got the hot tea, which was soothing on a cold winter night. Highly recommend!
Haven't visited in at least 6-years and was instantly impressed. Rather than looking worn, the entire restaurant felt well kept and clean. Their front door needs help, but only the cashier suffers from that. Service was prompt and attentive and the food precisely, maybe better, than I recall. Since finding them again, have been back twice more and love how easy it is to count on these folks for quality, great taste and really good service. Peking on West Broad is a great choice for eating well without spending too much time or money.
I have been enjoying this restaurant for around 22 years. I don't visit it frequently, but when I do I find an amazingly consistent product. I know for those that have read my reviews since the pandemic are most likely tired of me giving restaurants a break on service, however I can tell when they are understaffed and those serving the food are in the weeds. It appeared that there were only 2 waitresses for the entire floor and they were also responsible for bussing and setting up their own tables. Our waitress did the best she could under the aforementioned conditions. I am not sure why they no longer have Asian imported beer... I asked for a Tsingtao or Sapporo and and all they have is Corona and Miller Light. Despite all mentioned above my wife and I really enjoyed our dinner and had a good time… or maybe it's was just the company!
I odered two dishes: peking soup & peking duck.Peking soup: it's ok but a little bit saltyPeking duck: it's not a whole traditional duck, it't quite chunky. It's not like what we used to have peking duck. They used to serve the whole peking duck at our table. Here they just brought out the duck had been chopped in chunky piece. But the positive side we have a good service.
Our go to for great Chinese food. One of the only quality places around. Great service and always top quality whether dining in or takeout!
Great service! The food came super quick and was nice and hot. My meal was delicious and our waiter was super friendly. All in all a great place to have a quiet lunch.
