Drinks were really good and service was quick and friendly, however the pizza wasn’t as hot as I would have wanted. Now we did have the house specialty with a great deal of vegetables, but I would still expect it to be hotter than it came out. Just my preference. I would like to go back to try the happy hour and other meals, but it wasn’t the best $30 pizza I’ve had.

I was disappointed in the service and the food was nothing that would make me want to return. The draft drinks sounded fun, but the flavors were all muddled so that you really did not get a drink that you would want a second. I get that there is a labor shortage, but our server was not persanable and not prompt. After our pizza was served, one of our dining friends waited for his sandwich for well over 10 minutes before he walked up to the server sation and picked up his food and served himself. The food was nothing memorable. Bland sauce, inconsistent bakes on the calzones and flavorless spin dip.
Haven't had Mellow Mushroom in a long time! The last visit was on W Cary Street location. This visit was better than I expected. For takeout I got- a Tempeh Sub, Great White Pizza, and I built my own pizza as well. Will definitely be back! Their dough is the best of the best.
Fast, friendly service and the food was excellent!
Nice ambiance, great blues on the house speakers and an eclectic interior added up to a positive visit for us. The pizza was superb as was our server Katrina. Don't be in a rush when visiting. Fun place for a first date or significant-other date, family night out or with another couple. Very clean, delicious menu items; not just pizza. Excellent choices from the beer, wine and mixed drink menu as well.
Love this place for eating in, picking up, or delivery. I order the build your own pizza. Husband loves the Mighty Meaty. The patio has heaters mounted from the ceiling for chilly evenings. There's some great mixed drinks to order. They usually have several good beers on tap and a decent variety, maybe a little heavy on the IPA side, but that's not a complaint for many folks, myself included. Mellow Mushroom at Short Pump is in our regular dining out rotation.
Our first time to Mellow Mushroom and we loved it! I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was the BEST we've probably ever had anywhere1. The food was great, but man, that Pineapple Express drink was amazing!! I already can't wait to get another!
We had a great dining experience. The spinach dip with pita is amazing! The trio meatballs were great. And the pizzas are good.
