It's a cozy place to eat. We had prompt service and everyone was super professional and friendly. The food was close to $50 for two burgers with fries and an adult corn dog basket. One fountain drink and one milk shake. The fries were good and well seasoned. The burgers were a decent size with decent toppings. Flavor was a bit lacking. The buns were cold and the bottom of both burger buns were rather stale. I eat out alot and thought it was a little expensive for what we received. I would go back but it would not be my first choice.
I'm really not understanding the hype for this place. I used to eat here when I was a vegetarian, I would get the vegetarian burger and fries and it was always mediocre. Years later I now eat meat, I said let me try it again though I have a feeling I will be disappointed. The patty was so thrown together, flat, dry... I won't be eating here again. I need my food to actually taste like something ?. Cashier and food expeditor also had mediocre attitudes and weren't friendly.
We enjoyed our flat grilled burgers. Although, I was hankering for a grilled burger, this did not disappoint! It was juicy and tasty! The fries were seasoned with a sort of sweet and salty mess, tasty! The chili fries were a large portion with chili and cheese sauce on every fry! It’s a quaint restaurant with an upstairs and patio for dining. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. And also had a cute eyeshadow thing going on☺️.
Food was about as good as typical as it gets. Mushroom and Swiss burger was sloppy and slapped together without care, but it was tasty. Customer service was noninvasive and minimal. Very much a self-serve restaurant, which is fine given its setting. The fries were bland and undercooked. Three stars earned for now, other encounters here were much more positive than this particular instance. Chalk it up to new faces in the kitchen.
Very disappointed. Ordered 4 $2.00 sliders. That's $8.00, I believe. Added cheese and was told cheese is $1.00 extra. That's $4.00 more $, which totals $12.00. Cashier insisted the total was $26.00, and would not or could not change it. We are regular customers and enjoyed the food. But now CBF has lost us. Hope they can get things straight and train their help better.
Place is incredible. Good food, great people. They really won my in heart when the people working started singing Keith Whitley. ?
This place is a hit or miss. More misses than hits honestly. They have potential but like.. no. No matter how much I say no tomato there’s always a tomato. And why was my bun dried out and burnt today ? It’s burnt and the food is ice cold.. Like come Tf on.
This place used to have better burger better fries and chicken tenders. Today’s order is not good at all, oily fries not crunchy and not enough, chicken tenders not fully fried, skin was Out of the tenders. Onion rings very very oily , not tasty order at all, end up in garbage. I don’t know what’s wrong with this place I’m totally upset
We have lived in Lakeside for over six years now and Carytown Burgers&Fries Lakeside used to be one of our go-to spots as a quick/convenient place to pick up lunch or dinner with vegan and veg options. unfortunately in the last year or so we've been let down on more than one occasion. Most recently, it's been two separate Saturdays now we've tried to order food from them only to find out they've been closed with no notice posted on social media or elsewhere. the first time we actually placed an order online and showed up to pick up our food only to find them closed. this time when no one was answering the phones we drove over to the restaurant to check and sure enough they were closed. I'm not quite sure what's going on. if hours have changed or they are having some other kind of issues they should update websites/social media accordingly and/or post the new hours publicly. very unfortunate as we like supporting local businesses when we can.
Forty minutes from ordering to getting food, chicken and fries were cold after all that. Cole slaw was sour- inedible, sweet potatoe fries were bland- didn’t eat them. Burger was missing ingredients. Overall disappointing, won’t return.
