This restaurant serves excellent eats. I am a huge fan of the lamb chops with chimichurri!!! The quality of the food, the huge portions, and the amazing flavors are sureto put a smile on your face and sunshine in your belly.The cafeteria like set up really doesn't do the food any justice. You won't be wowed by the ambiance, not one bit, Luckily, any one of their menu selections is a meal that would be best enjoyed from the comfort of your own home, mainly because you won't want anyone to see the way in which you will completely inhale this food and ferociously lick your plate.I gave Canastas 4 stars because the food is superior, but I must give a fully honest review. For those who are sticklers for sanitation, I did witness a particular employee eating a hand held sandwhich behind the counter while walking back and forth very closely to the buffet. While eating, he tossed his hair, and touched his face and nose several times. He consumed the sandwich uncomfortably close to the open food that would be served to customers. I watched with hawk eyes to ensure that nothing fell from his sandwich into the food trays. He appeared to be no older than 18, so I'm sure he really didn't know any better. He was just walking around eating as if he was in his kitchen at home. I didn't stay to see if he washed his hands before going back to work, but I kinda have a feeling that I know the answer.
The food is always hot, fresh and extremely delicious!! We love to get as takeaway. Our family enjoys the whole chicken and sides. The fried rice, black beans, pinto beans, green beans and red potatoes are our favorite sides. The lamb gyro is excellent! We also love the empanadas. You cannot go wrong here.
I love Canastas!Canada's!! It's one of my favorite go-to options. The food is always made fresh and tastes delicious. The staff is friendly and the overall environment is great. The chicken is phenomenal. I also love their salads. Would recommend to anyone looking for something flavorful and delicious.
This Canastas location is always on point. But if it's busy you'll likely get your chicken fresh off the charcoal. Got half a chicken, green beans and potatoes; before I knew it I was knocked out asleep on my couch. Great restaurant with the food to match.
The best! All the food is terrific, all the staff is great. Been going for a few years. And have tried to explore most everything on the menu and everything is so good. Everyone is nice, the food is prepared quickly and I just can't recommend it enough. Definantly give this place a try.
Great lamb chops. Salmon is also an excellent choice. Peruvian chicken is delicious. The sides are plentiful.
The food was absolutely amazing!!!! I was pretty hungry after my flight getting cancelled, got in my hotel room and ordered. I got the cilantro chicken with fried plantains n green rice! Omg the food was great. I couldn’t stop eating. And the portion size was huge!!! Def worth the money!!!! Too bad there isn’t one of these in Oklahoma!!!
What a little gem of an authentic Peruvian eatery. So many delicious options with GIGANTIC portions. Don't be daunted by the prices. You're likely getting 2-3 meals out of one! Service is quick, food seems authentic (I'm not Peruvian!), and is fresh. Mixed veggies were a frozen blend, but veggies mixed in with the entree were very fresh. My only complaint was that my meal was a tad too salty for me. I was downing water the entire day. But the meal was still delicious so I would go back!
I travel a lot and Peruvian is one of my top favorite cuisines. I have to say this place that has been here for four years beside my business the whole time (why I just discovered i don’t know) is the best hands-down, authentic and most flavorful Peruvian dishes I’ve had. The sauces are made fresh and you can tell the owners take pride in the quality and flavor of everything.
Coming from New York, I think this is one of the best Peruvian places around the area. The rice and chicken is so juicy. Service is fast! I had to take a star away because during two take outs I have received a very dry chicken and I was a little disappointed.
