First off everyone should know that Waffle House is not a luxury eatery. However, some are very well run and the breakfast food is just what we need to satisfy that hunger. This Waffle House in Harrisonburg is usually very busy and very efficient. They seat you quickly and bring your order very fast. The staff is busy and friendly. For a quick satisfying breakfast meal you can't find much better.
Great place to eat if you're visiting JMU! Close proximity to several hotels. They were quite busy at 1030 am yesterday. We had a short wait to be seated but placed and received our order promptly. VERY well staffed by a crew of experienced adults. Kudos to the waffle maker! Our pecan waffle was delicious! He was very generous with the pecans. Thank you for a great dining experience!
This is the absolute worst Waffle House location I’ve ever been to. Every other location has gotten my order spot on, but this location has never gotten my order right in the 3 times I’ve been here. The last time I visited this location my food tasted off and I ended up being violently sick 30 minutes later and this was the only thing I had all day, so it was definitely what I ate from here. Wish there were other locations I could go to since I love Waffle House so much, but this one sucks.

The place was packed but that didn't mean I didn't get a seat immediately and recieve my food amazingly fast our waiter was amazing and the cooks were quick! I will come back !
Outstanding service & food. Little bit of a wait( had a full house) but of course in JMU central that is to be expected! The cook was amazing at getting everyone’s food out in a timely manner. The server paced herself & the cook! I will definitely be coming back & make Waffle House Thursday my new thing. I loved the team work I seen! Great job! Make sure you commend your overnight staff for their amazing ness!!! Great job you ladies
The waitress was amazing, the restaurant is very small, over crowded and you have to wait a good bit to be seated. Staff is amazing but seriously the owner needs to rebuild and make it bigger. That is a busy road and with Massanutten right up the street I'm sure it gets busy often I couldn't imagine in the summer how it is
Waffle House has ALWAYS been a family fav....When I went in waffle house I tried 2 stores...the first Waffle House only had counter service due to lack of help...but the attitude of a woman in charge was basically rude...she said we have no help and since there are only 2 of us here counter service is all I can offer...that I understood, but the way she said it to me with NO eye contact...I said...no worries...left...about 3 hours later driving towards NY from Virginia we saw a second Waffle House...there was a similar issue, but we decided to stay and eat on the counter...this time there were 7 workers at Waffle house...with the same reasoning..."we only have 1 server and myself the cook"...we were starving now...no breakfast till 3:15 pm...eggs were ordered over easy but the eggs were put on the plate upside down with the top of the egg on the bottom and just not cooked enough...very wet...whites were not cooked...I did not say anything since it seemed like there was attitude here also. The cook had a new server...2 weeks there(I asked the server)...he was new but attentive...The waffles at the Waffle House were not completely cooked...the timer went off, but both sides were cooked pail in color...PS: I'm a chef for 52 years and these waffles were edable, but not correctly cooked...I also looked around and WAFFLE HOUSE CORPORATION needs to re-vamp their stores...the Waffle House stores both looked very dated...I have been going to waffle house since 1985...I have always LOVED this Breakfast Place...I understand COVID-19 has caused employment shortages all over...so that is understood about lack of help...but a breakfast cook that looked like she knew what she was doing...WAS NOT DOING IT CORRECTLY...I didn't want to cause more stress for the cook...so we ate the waffles...under cooked eggs...drank the great coffee...wonderful hashbrowns...mediocre sausage Patty tipped the server and left...Seriously overstating the "NEED TO RE-VAMP ALL THE STORES"...CRACKER BARREL AS WELL AS OTHER BREAKFAST SPOTS OFF ROUTE 81 IN PENNSYLVANIA ALL HAS EMPLOYMENT SHORTAGES IN SERVERS...I will attempt to go again hopefully writing a better review...SJR
I love Waffle House. This one was particularly good! Our server was a delight, the cook was fastidious in keeping everything clean & sanitary and the food was great! Very welcoming to a couple of Yankee city girls!
