This Steak 'n Shake is located on James Madison University Campus in the D-Hall building. The menu is limited, but it has the essential Steak 'n Shake items - burgers, chicken strips, and milkshakes! Prices are about the same as a traditional location. For non-campus members, visiting may be hard due to parking restrictions.

Took college tour of James Madison University, checked out the dining hall on campus afterwards which has several options including this Steak n'Shake. Had the Prime Steakburger with fries, others had the Original double. Burgers were very good, filling, fries good also (little heavy on the salt is all.) Service was good, friendly, made to order so little wait but not too bad. Shakes looked delish just no room after the belly buster burger. Prices seemed on par with other S&S locations, pretty reasonable for what you get.

So much more than just Steak and Shake now. Not sure why it's not on the map. All sorts of good options here.
