Their food is wonderful. I don’t think you can go wrong with Popeyes ..
Giving them a five star review because, in spite of them messing up my order, they went above and beyond to fix this. I ordered the shrimp tackle box and got a chicken box (which yes is more expensive), so I went in the next day and they replaced the entire order - even the stuff they didn’t mess up. Friendly staff and management and I appreciate their efforts! Always fresh too.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. Never in my life have I encountered such rude staff. My partner and I placed a mobile order to pick up after running some errands and we tried calling the store to let them know it might be a while. No one picked up the phone. All the information online said that mobile orders weren’t made until the customer comes to the location. Well, when we got our food it had obviously been sitting for well over an hour. My partner went inside to explain the situation in hopes of getting it remade or refunded. The staff made her stand around and wait for at least 20 minutes before they finally spoke to her. They were very rude in the way they handled the situation and refused to remake or refund the order. We ended up calling corporate because that type of behavior is unacceptable in the service industry. Neither one of us were rude to any of the staff but they could not return the favor. Luckily, the woman from corporate was very nice and we were able to work something out. Don’t come to this location expecting decent service. You’re better off getting food elsewhere.
Being where it's located and the type of community it serves.. I used the drive thru and there wasn't a wait time or anything. JMU has a strong presence here. Thought it would be a long wait time at drive thru window, it wasn't. It's been a long time since I've had Popeyes, brings back good memories with the first bite. Disappointed.. no Dirty Rice. Yeah, it's been THAT long. Food hot and fresh and tasty. Wish there were more locations and close by.
Great food, great location, seamless mobile order / pickup location, friendly staff. However, we brought the food home after picking up to find out (2) of the sandwiches were missing from the order. Very unfortunate since where we were staying was 25 minutes away at our resort so it wasn’t worth the price of gas or time to drive back. Please QA/QC the order log against what is in the bag before completing.
Great Place to Eat in HarrisonburgThis restaurant is located on the southwest corner of US Route 33 and University Boulevard. It is easy to get to and is a stand-alone building. The building is situated in a large parking lot so there is plenty of parking. The building has both a drive-through and a dine-in area. The Popeye’s chain has over 3400 restaurants, in 46 states and 30 countries. I have been to only about 4 of these, including this one. Each one has been clean, well kept, have friendly staff and great food. This one was very much like all the other ones that I have been to. There is a dining area with seating for about 50 seats at some tables, a few booths, and a counter. You order and pay at the counter and they call your number to pick up your food. The staff taking my order was pleasant and efficient. The prices were reasonable. The food came out quickly. I definitely recommend their iced tea, biscuits, and chicken sandwiches. You might also want to try their different sauces. They are delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant place to get something to drink or eat in the area.
Normally we enjoy Popeyes chicken tenders. Todays looked like they were pounded flat and heavily breaded and looked like octopus. Just really dry. I guess it is tuff everywhere. Time to start making them at home

Honestly ever single time I go, I see hard working people trying their best to keep up with the amount of people coming through and the amount of people they have to work with. Honestly, if your going to a fast food place expecting it to be the fastest at busy times like lunch, then you shouldn’t go out especially now with covid and with the lack of staff to help keep up. They are doing an amazing job and my food is always has the same great taste and is very warm. I love my Popeyes in Harrisonburg!
