Went to LA Morena for lunch today. Ordered a chicken burritos and asked for the black beans in the burrito instead of the refried beans which is not in the food picture that is display behind the counter. The first time I went to La Morena's the chicken burrito was delicious, after that it has never been/tasted the same.The burrito does not taste good anymore????? Put the black bean back in the burrito as displayed.
Being from Colombia and that I am super picky about my Mexican food I tried this placed. I liked it rhe first time but every other time after the food has been terrible. What has made me decide to never come back to the restaurant is I came in with my 8 week chihuahua puppy and they told me to get puppy outside. I will never give these people my business again.
True authentic cuisine at a fraction of the price of commercial, non-authenic chains.
TERRIBLE customer service. Ordered a veggie burrito, as I always do there. Got home, bit into it. Something tastes wrong. Looked at it, it's meat. Called them at 6:45, went straight to voicemail (what?). Called the next day and asked for a refund on just that item. They said, "no you ordered lengua (tongue). I assure you, as a 30-year vegetarian I did not order tongue. Instead of just saying sorry, they say the mistake is mine. For something that could have cost them $4, they instead lost a customer forever. Nice work.
La Morena is yet another excellent authentic Mexican restaurant in Harrisonburg. I almost always get the tripe tacos, a quesadilla, and a Mexican Coke. They have an excellent array of salsas to choose from which makes this one of my favorite restaurants for tacos. It always takes a while, so be patient... It's well worth the wait.
If you don't come here, your life is a wasteful useless simulation which you experience only to die later on in life. I don't care if you're reading this in Berlin or Lagos- you need to book a flight right now to Shenandoah airport and then come here. Their burritos be the bomb.com. They're super big so you and a loved one can inhale them down into your stomach only to come back a minute later and purchase 50 more of these. Once you inhale enough to feed the whole population of Asia, I think you're ready to go back home
Delicious authentic Mexican food. Their service is great and they have a tone of options. Be prepared for a wait, as they fix most of the food on demand. The homemade juices are superb.
I love the burrito Supreme. It is huge so it is at least 2 meals. Well worth it. There is a bit of a wait to get the food but it is all made fresh so it is worth it.
