We were pleasantly surprised by Jalisco Mexican Restaurant on Neff Avenue in Harrisonburg VA.We were seated quickly. The restaurants has a authentic flair about it. Our meals came out sizzling hot in no time at all. Large portions and very flavorful. We finished up our dinner with a Flan !! The flan was the icing on the cake.We happily give them 5 star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating on the food, atmosphere & Service!!
I'm from North Carolina. I don't know if tip here in VA is mandatory. But I didn't like the service, the food is not that good. Once I got my food the waiter. Never came back to offer anything. I ask for my check. He come and then he offer me a refill. Drinks are over price, and he included the tip. Never coming back.
On a work trip, went hunting for great fish tacos, and found them! Delicious food, friendly staff, very reasonable cost. I'd come back again!
We were thrilled to discover this great find in an unassuming strip mall. The vibrant decorations set the scene for well-prepared Mexican food with unique twists on the ordinary. We loved the enchiladas with mole sauce and quesadillas overstuffed with shrimp and fresh veggies. The children’s menu featuring chicken nuggets and other familiar options was much appreciated.

We have been coming multiple times to eat lunch or dinner. I’ve always been upset about coming in because we are ignored by the staff as they walk by and they do acknowledge us… It can take up to 10 minutes to be seated. (Keep in mind: We have to stay standing up.) Food and drinks is okay. Usually food is a hit or miss… One time, they forgot to add the shrimp to my fajitas and I had to wait an HOUR to get my shrimp…. Potatoes on “The Parrilla” were flavorless. I completely regretted ordering this off the menu. Same thing with checking out, it takes FOREVER to get someone at the register so I can pay my bill and head my way…
Service was nice but unattended. Main entree was doused in salt and inedible. The complimentary chips and salsa were good and came with a unique coleslaw dip. The side order of guacamole was underwhelming.
Waited several minutes in the lobby with my family and elderly mother, and was not acknowledged by the staff who passed us several times while serving other customers and running customer tickets - tables who got up to pay after we had been waiting. Attempts to get the wait staff's attention were brushed off or ignored. We left without ever being acknowledged by the staff, other than a sense of disinterest when I frustratedly told them we'd be leaving. Honestly, it felt rather rude. We won't be back.
Great hospitality and wonderful service. Food was excellent and the shot of DonJulio 1942 was well worth it the price. Thank you so much for the experience!
A Very nice place to eat. The food was delicious, prompt seating, courteous staff (thanks Johnny) reasonable prices & yes a clean bathroom. However if you order the “King Burrito” ya might want to tell them easy on the lettuce LOL?
