Stopped by for carry out on Saturday, June 4th about 1:30pm. Was told by the host to go around back to order carry out. I went back there and there were two men talking, one of which seemed to work there. Completely ignored me and continued their conversation. Someone came out from inside and told me they had just closed the back porch. I said the guy up front told me to come back there. Asked if there anything besides burgers and was told no. I said OK, never mind. They guy that had been engaged in conversation, said “good”. Completely unprofessional and rude.
My friends and I had a wonderful time at Jack Brown’s! We all absolutely loved the sweet potato fries and our burgers; but for my daughter, the star of the show was Gabe, a friendly waiter who she couldn’t stop staring at! After babbling at him every time he walked by, we finally asked if she could take a picture with him and he excitedly obliged. This made our experience here that much more memorable and enjoyable.
Found this place visiting JMU. Food was excellent, but atmosphere not so much. Moved outside after being inside for few. Inside was dark and dingy , outside fine. Service was good - would have been very good except we were overcharged for an extra beer. However, the food did make up for the any snafus- definitely some of the best burgers we’ve had. And the fried Oreos were amazing! Giving it 4.5 stars and would go back if we are in town.
So after asking several people where I could get a good burger, I was sent to Jack Browns.In no uncertain terms, this was a fantastic choice ?. I will gladly give the 5 Stars !!! Seated quickly, our Host Cati made a few recommendations and I told her to "pick my burger". Wow fast service and man that Cowboy Burger was fantastic with a side of seasoned fries !! Rose had the same with sweet potatoes fries & Jack's sauce ? which was excellent too. Dinner was very reasonably priced at 40. Bucks. If your in H-burg VA stop at Jack Browns, you'll love ❤️ it. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks Cati & Dana !So like a fool, I forgot to mention dessert, Deep fried Oreos, ? omg they were good.And the reason I forgot to mention them, I inhaled it. ?Careful though, they come right out of the deep fryer....give them a minute to cool a bit. You'll thank me later ☺️
When people tell you that you MUST try the wagyu beef, Jack Brown's is the best. It was so good that the first time we went I had to have two wagyu burgers, I especially recommend the cream cheese and jalapeno jelly - it was perfect! The servers and cooks were exceptional.
great place in Harrisonburg, great burgers, free coke refills. layed back stay and atmosphere great selection of beets.

The burgers were fantastic and not too big. We definitely recommend the burger with the man-n-cheese and BBQ potato chips and the burger with cream cheese, jalapeños, and pepper jelly. Their in-house BBQ sauce was phenomenal. Their fries tasted frozen, and the atmosphere wasn’t super great (dark and dirty). Definitely worth checking out, but it won’t be a regular for us.
Best burger of my life. Always make sure to stop here when I’m in the area. Would recommend anyone to try, you will not be disappointed. Outdoor, indoor, and bar seating is offered, along with a great drink menu. If you’re reading this, it’s your sign to go!
