This bar is not welcoming to people of color. I walked in and you could hear a pin drop. It took a minute for the bartender to service me. I stood out like a sore thumb. I ordered the half pound of crab legs because they were serving everyone else a nice portion. I barely received a full cluster. I ordered a second 1/2 pound and received another smaller cluster. The females beside me had a pound (which was a tray full). I sent back the majority of my food because it was either burnt or incorrect. The website makes this place appear to be a nice seafood restaurant in Harrisonburg. It’s nothing but a hole in the wall for the non colored residents of this area.I must say the two margaritas I had were pretty decent.I know my ppl love seafood, but avoid this place at all cost.I did leave a tip and thanked the bartender for actually serving me.I will never suggest or return to this place.

Given the lackadaisical bar scene in Harrisonburg, this place continues to hold the reigns of grimiest and nastiest bars around. Between the bouncers and bartenders that absolutely ruin it nearly every time, there is a loss of words for any good things about this place. The covers on weekends are 100% worth it if you love losing your seat at the bar to stand in a line to get served, rather than being served at the bar. Entire staff is under a power trip as it’s probably the only time they’ll hold power in their lives. But anyhow, congrats Finnys! literally no one likes the place but thankfully, usually has open tables as it takes every other bar to fill up before it does.

My husband and I are on vacation and came across this spot. Good customer service. I ordered the catfish which was salty as hell and the crab balls were burnt. We know good seafood and this spot was not a good one to go back.

My family and I went into the restaurant because it was the closest seafood spot we could find near where we vacationing. We got no service no greeting. The workers just looked at us. We glanced at a menu while we waited but it was obvious our color wasn’t acceptable there.

Great dive bar, great food, great atmosphere. The low star review for a Manhattan and a old fashioned with undissolved sugar in bottom of glass. Paid premium for makers mark. It was the worst two strong drinks of my life. Learn to make a drink properly. It should be proper quantity of ingredients. This is why you guys sell so much PBR. Drive bars can do things right and still hold onto the charm of being a dive bar .

Look... Im not sure what people are expecting. This is a GREAT dive bar. Love this place. Food, atmosphere and staff all just the way it should be. I get it... Its too rough, not sophisticated and behind the trends... Well.... THANK GOODNESS .

I go here maybe twice a year as a local. Meh.. if you can handle second hand smoke and a place that reeks of cigs the drinks aren't bad and good priced. Last time I went was told only thing they had on the menu was fries..

Good food for a bar, fun during a night out! The cheese fry's are a lifesaver late night.

The bouncer is the worst- kicks out college students for dancing and charges only college kids a cover - will let locals cut the line and does not charge them a cover. The bouncer is always drunk while working and has the worst god complex and is just plain old ugly.

I am staying in Harrisonburg from all the way from SC for a JMU football and asked around for a good place to eat. Some locals told me about this spot and I called to place a take out order only to be greeted buy a guy with a rude and nasty attitude. We told the man over the phone that we were placing 3 separate orders (since we were paying with 3 separate cards) only to be told at the end that we can only place two. So of course I called back to place my order and was really asked if I was “seriously calling again for an order.” I felt as if my service was not wanted after this comment. I still had hope and proceeded with my order only to be told that they were only selling fried food or grilled food but NO salads or potatoes… I don’t eat meat and I have never heard of a place that closes at 2 AM not make salads at 10:00 PM.
