Crab cakes were delicious. Convenient for boaters staying in the Bluewater Marina. Family friendly atmosphere. Large part was a little distracting but the restaurant wasn’t at fault there.
Fantastic find. A Down side the steamer was not working as of May 15th, 2022 ufn, so no steamed shrimp for me. Cajun fish tacos, perfectly seasoned, came with chips and guac. Coslaw inside was my favorite. Crab cake, was very tasty, simple and just right. Po boy shrimp sandwich was very generous in its serving, fried to perfection and so tender.
Excellent choice. Wanted a little of the east coast experience on our journey this weekend to Hampton, Virginia. Service was exceptional. Food choices are varied with great seafood options. Diner feel makes it very quaint and cozy. Nice crowd on a Sunday after church but not over crowded. Reasonable pricing. Worth every moment! Thanks! See you next year!
My husband and I came here with family from out of town on a Saturday, which was busy (as to be expected). However, we were seated within 5 minutes and had a great view of the water and boats docked nearby. Customer service was fantastic! I ordered the shrimp po boy and she crab soup to share with my my daughter. The soup wasn't as hot as I would have liked, but overall both dishes were delicious and flavorful! I also tried the clam strips that my father-in-law ordered and I will definitely be ordering that the next time I come back. I usually prefer steamed over breaded seafood, but this place was the exception. The breading is very light, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys seafood!

This restaurant definitely needs to be larger because the food is grand so it is always busy. I love seafood!!!!! I really love excellent seafood!!!! I adore excellent seafood with a view of the water. Ergo Surf Rider! You have to try Surf Rider. You will become a regular. Highly recommended.
The Surf Rider is the best local spot for fresh seafood and comfort food too. I had the she crab soup. Oh my! Definitely worth the trip if you enjoy crab soup. I think it could win in a competition. The wait staff is wonderful. Take a road less traveled to the surf Rider
