Stopped in here while visiting my brother (we are from out of state - PA) we all absolutely loved the food and this will be a regular stop when we come down to visit!
We made a late night run for something good and quick. The Skrimp Shack did not disappoint. We called the order in and the person that took our order was patient and polite. We had a large order and they got everything correct. Our food was hot and we got more than enough condiments. Late night run accomplished. Would definitely return if in the city again.
The chicken sandwiches are amazing and so are the sweet potato fries. But being able to see all of the kitchen and all of its disarray was almost enough to make me cancel my order. I remember in the food industry hair had to be pulled back and covered. Finger nails needed to be neat and short.... Theses days I guess it doesn't matter. The girls nails were super not food industry appropriate. And cleanliness was so so. Thank God the food and portions were amazing.
Went to order something from my grandma and I. Ive been there once before to order the Mahi Mahi basket. Was disappointed it was not seasoned, just the fried fish. When I ordered the whiting basket, I was hoping it was just a bad day before but no. It was still under seasoned fish. We tried calling the place because we ordered sweet potatoe fries but didnt get them they basically ignored us on the phone and then anytime after we tried calling that evening, it was "busy". This was on 4/22I'll definitely not be returning. Has potential because the fry was fresh just.. not good and rude service. Would rather go to the little Asian lady and know I'll get exactly what I wanted and more for the same price.
Shrimp and fish tacos were both great. Good friendly service and it was ready quick too. Restaurant was very clean as well.
All around, good food! It was my first time eating there, and it was just right.
I usually get the shrimp and crab poboy and it is delicious. They don't skimp on the crab or the shrimp so you definitely get a good portion of both. That combined with the sauce(which also makes the sandwich so tasty) and some of their hushpuppies are definitely a win-win.
Super nice staff, clean store and huge variety of items on their menu plus great prices. Will def go again!!!!
This was our first time eating at Skrimp Shack, after my wife saw it on Facebook. I tried the flounder sandwich with fried okra and my wife had the shrimp and catfish po’boy with fries. For drink we had tea. First, my flounder sandwich was the size of a baby’s head…triple stacked with fish. Wow..,awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. My wife’s sandwich was okay, but bread tasted microwaved, so not as good as my bun. All the food came out hot. The okra rocked!! All in all, this place was great. No frills, great fried fish. We’ll be back!!
Best Whiting I've ever had! I'm definitely coming back!
