I've been here on 3 separate occasions and each time I visit the customer service is non existent. I was trying to give them a chance because they make great drinks and the food is decent, but I'll take my money to the other location.
Expected great seafood. Got cajun crab legs med spice. UGHHHH tasted like they cooked the crab legs then threw a tiny bit of spice on top. Will not go there again I loved the twisted crab that I had a few days earlier. SOOOO much better.
Best time in a while!Destiny was the most courteous, attentive and efficient server I have encountered in quite a while. The food was awesome also, well cooked with great portions and beverages!I am looking forward to returning soon.
Me and my child walked in only to be ignored. When we were finally seated a table of three walked in and were seated immediately. They also had their orders taken and me and my hungry child were still ignored. We left before we even knew if we had a waitress. I won't come back. I did not feel welcomed at all.
The service was really good. The steam bag was very tasty and the prices reasonable. If I want shellfish fare when I am in town... this place will be first in my mind.
Several years ago a former GF and I found a boil in bag in Richmond, Va that we loved. However, we parted and I think she has moved. In any event, about six months ago my SO and I ate at a second boil in bag and finally came here solo. I have to say that I almost turned around and left as I no longer engage in bar room brawls. I think the staff needs to tell the guys with the third drink to cut it out. After awhile it got quiet - almost too quiet. In any event, I ordered the 1/2 pound shrimp and same black mussels, with a half of an ear of corn and one potato. This came with 1/2 pound of sausage, a small potato, and a peeled boiled egg. An elementary school plastic fork came with it - no knife, no spoon. I was used to paper towels - nope - paper napkins. The food was good, all in all. I wish management would send out scouts to see what other boil in bag restaurants would do to improve what they do, though I may well come again.
Ordered the combo of snow crab clusters, shrimp and sausage (1/2 pound each) with 1 boiled egg, corn and potato. Chose the Cajun spice with the hot spice level. Orders it as takeout. The ambience looked casual and nice setting for those interested in dining in.The food was good. Loved the spices to go with the crab and shrimp. The only reason I am giving 4 starts instead of 5 is because of the sausage. While the crab and shrimp were awesome, the sausage was very average. The corn on the cob soaked in Cajun spices was awesome too. Needless to say I ate way too much. Overall definitely worth the visit.
wonderful food and waiter was great
I was skeptical on arrival, but it was great. Service was great and food was excellent. King Crab and Shrimp well worth the price. Bonus - happy hour all day on Sunday! Highly recommend Pier 88.
Leeches!!! Ordered a seafood boil with crab legs, corn/potatoes and shrimp. We started with the corn and potatoes so I didn’t initially see the leeches on my crab legs until we already started eating the veggies. A quick online search says they are harmless but definitely not appeasing to the eye non the less. We got our order around 9:30 pm as a pick up so by time we got home it was almost 10:00 pm. We called the store and they advised that we could bring it back, but I decided I didn’t want anymore of their food.
