Came here for something I don't have at home, and was not disappointed. The food was delicious (got the Methi garlic chicken and garlic naan) and everyone was super friendly. If I'm back in the area I would definitely come back!
I'm thrilled this place has been around as long as it has. Always too notch delicious. Fresh and tasty food mouth watering aromas. Seasoned to perfection. The heat choices are always done to perfection. Vegetarians and vegans must come! More options than anywhere else I've been.
This place is authentic Indian English and every dish we have tried has been made with great care. The flavors are very good. I was warry of this place because some of the reviews said the service was poor. I went on a weekday and the service was great. There were maybe 10 tables filled and we got our order right away. The food was great and delicious like everyone is saying. I did think it was strange that the chuney came without naan but the portions were great and food was good. We had to take some home and it was another meal still.
We placed an order for pick-up. The food was flavorful and the amount of rice was beyond plentiful. For the price (even with covid price considerations), the portions were quite small. They also did not include all items that I paid for. I contacted the restaurant to let them know of the omission; no response.The overall experience was not positive, and I will probably not be back.
The food here is amazing but the wait time is just too long... the food quality is outstanding. I just really wish they can give my order in a timely manner.
The food was good however is the service was disappointing. Restaurant was not very busy and we noticed the manager visited each white customer's table inquiring about their meals and the service before checking them out pretty timely. After we completed our meals we waited for quite a while before anyone came to check us out at which time there was only one other table. I'm assuming the other staff thought she would have done the same to our table so no one else came to table for some time. It was obviously prejudice and discrimination.
Just order the Tandoori Shrimp ? and Lamb ? Chops with Naan ? Bread and ?rice! If your looking for Lamb Chops this place is for you. So glad my Wife put me on with this hidden gem ? in the city. It's never crowded, very clean, great staff, great food. Dine in or place and order to go. Great place to eat If your looking for Indian food!!! Must Try! Thank me later.
There are 2 reasons I write reviews and they are if I’m really impressed or severely disappointed with a restaurant or business. So I’ve been ordering from Monsoon eclectic modern Indian for a while and I have yet to try anything on their menu that hasn’t been fresh or flavorful. If you’re looking for good Indian food or something new to try in the area I highly recommend giving them a shot. I don’t think they’ll disappoint.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Hampton Roads. If you are American, set your cultural expectations aside, as this is not a place where you will get in and out quickly. The food is made to order and let me tell you, it is worth the wait! It is a place to come and spend time enjoying your meal and and good conversation with friends or family. This is how meal times are normally enjoyed in other countries. I always order the Fish Tika, which is literally one of the only places in HR where salmon is perfectly cooked and not overdone. My husband ordered the mixed grill… also excellent! The flavors and presentation are beautiful. I truly appreciate this restaurant!
I was so happy with my takeout order, I will definitely be back in the future for more. My Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious and tender, just the right amount of spicy for medium, and the Palak Paneer was creamy and so good. The rice portions are generous, and I got a double order of naan as well. The assorted veg bites provided lots of crunchy appetizers to nibble on and the spiced chai was perfect. Highly recommend!
