It was really cool being able to design your own pizza. They don't even charge extra for toppings and they are fresh! The manager is so cool, you don't even realize he's the manager. Can't wait to go back.
Worst visit ever!!!! The employees had very bad attitudes and even worse customer service. They didn't seem stocked for their dinner rush, and kept making excuses when I asked for toppings they didn't have on the line. The lady starting the pizza refused to rub my pesto base over the entire crust, and put 3 heaping globs of ricotta, so only half of my pizza had it. They barley put any toppings on my pizza. When I asked for more they rolled their eyes, and made it seem like I was inconveniencing them. I asked for the roasted garlic at the end and the employees literally put like 2 entire heads of garlic on my pizza. Luckily they were on top and could pick them off, otherwise I would not have been able to eat it. While waiting for the pizza to cook I went and used the bathroom. There was toilet paper all over the floor, the toilet was disgusting, and they were out of soap. I let one of the employees know about the condition of the bathroom and once again they just rolled their eyes. As a former restaurant manager I understand the frustration of the job, but at some point management has to step in and lead their team to greatness. I will probably never come back to this location, unless some major changes are made. I really wish I could give them 0/5 stars
Great pizza. The Mod Pizza does thin crust right. Not too much dough, good spread of toppings and great taste.
The food options are good and the prices are reasonable. The shop was clean, but the service was not great at all. There were four employees at the restaurant, three of which were polite and relatively attentive. There was one, who had curly hair, earrings, and I believe a nose ring that was very rude to multiple customers including ourselves. He was not attentive and openly told customers that he would get to them when he was done with the conversation he was having. Not a good look.
This is we can’t have nice things in Hampton. Sloppy uncaring service. Employees who won’t acknowledge you. Stay away from this MoD.
I’m not vegan but went with the Daiya vegan cheese. I do not eat meat as was pleasantly surprised at how diligent the staff was with keeping my pizza as meat free as possible. The staff changed gloves automatically when preparing my pizza and making sure they had a clean cutter to slice up my pie at the end. I did not have to ask in advance as I have to do at other establishments. Well done MOD, I sincerely appreciate the extra effort.
Staff is friendly. Food is perfect every time! Larry always greet you with a smile! Perfectly located in an outdoor Peninsula Town Center mall area. can’t go wrong at this Mod Pizza!
The staff here are very polite and positive. The restaurant is always clean and the homemade drinks are always delicious. I enjoy coming here when I have a pizza craving and I buy the build your own pizza. I typically get cauliflower crust, red sauce, white cheese, blue cheese, chicken, chicken sausage, broccoli, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. I also shared the no name cake with my wife and it was definitely something I will be ordering again.
I have heard good things about MOD Pizza so I was excited to finally try it. It was quiet when I walked in and the tall man at the counter was making pizza. He never said hello or acknowledged our presence which made it really awkward. I watched him use one hand to slop toppings on pizzas with one hand. (I’m assuming he has use of both his hands, if not please disregard my complaint). Anyway when he made my pizza he did so with the same carelessness. When he was done he had forgotten a few toppings and I asked him nicely to add them. He had zero customer service ability. I know times are to find good help, but better customer service would have gone a long way during our visit. I will definitely be back to MOD pizza but not this location. The other employees were just as disgruntled and unfriendly as the man who helped me. I hope they can do better, then maybe they can get some tips.
Honestly I would say as my first time here it could have been better. The staff was very unorganized and they were not stocked on many of the ingredients on the bar. No one was helping one of the line workers with replenishment. It was a very sad sight to watch unfold. For 34.00 for two pizzas you should be able to support your staff
