Great food and service! Perfect casual dining spot! Get the wings and try all the sauces! I shared the pork plate with a friend and got coleslaw and Mac n cheese. Enjoyed every bite. And the rolls ruled. I liked this place a lot.
First time to Virginia Beach. Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor after seeing one of the museums. Excellent food. My husband had the brisket sandwich and said it was extremely tender. I had the barbecue shrimp salad which was awesome. Highly recommended.
This was my first visit. I would not visit again, not bad however not to my liking. Mac and cheese was bland, collards were a lil seasoned however the stems were hard which made the collards not desirable. The baby back ribs were ok, I prefer them a lil more tender, the pulled pork was delish (we used the memphis sauce very tasteful) however the 1st plate came out cold, which she immediately bought out a warm order. The corn muffins served was also delish. Our waitress Danie was awesome and very attentive. This was my experience hope you enjoy your visit.

This place is amazing! When we pulled up, I didn’t know what to think (saw the longhorn and American flag and wondered if I was welcome here). We walked in, and every face had a welcoming smile! Malibu was our server. She was honest, attentive, and pleasant. The ambiance was great. It was good for our family with a tween and a toddler, but also seemed to be a good spot for lovers and friends to meet at the bar. The music added to the vibe. A little bit of everything - reminded me of 90’s MTV getting dressed for high school. Anyway, the food was amazing. From the corn muffins with honey butter, to the brisket and ribs, to the seasoned greens, everything we ate was delicious. The table sauces were great, and the Savanna Sauce reminded me of my uncle’s secret sauce. The portions were large too. There was no way we could finish everything. The drinks were delicious and potent. We got traditional margaritas, as well as frozen to go. It was official! If you are hungry in Hampton, do go here!!! We will be back for sure!
poor customer service! there wasn't many people in the restaurant. we were set at the table a server never came to the table just like 30 minutes wait and then when we asked for a server we had to wait 20 more minutes! when I server came to the table she was very polite and very apologetic for forgetting about us and stated that everybody was trying to figure out who was going to serve our table. so that disappointed me and made me feel as if I wasn't a valued customer. so I will never eat at the Hampton county grill again!
The food was phenomenal. Brisket was seasoned well. Mac and cheese was southerner approved ?? cornbread was almost perfect ? ? sweet tea was NOT sweet. The hostess watched me stand in front of her for 20 minutes, many employees walked passed me and I wasn't greeted. That definitely needs more work
DO NOT GET THE MAC N CHEESE! It’s dry and pasty. Other reviews have mentioned the same but I wanted to see for myself. That said:We had the brisket and the loaded potato salad and it was fantastic! I liked the array of bbq sauces they had available. Interior was way more impressive than expected from the looks of the outside of the building. Staff was friendly. I feel the menu is overpriced for BBQ.
I was hesitant to order because of the negative reviews however MY food was hot, fresh and delicious and this was actually a to-go order. Great size portions on the sandwiches, muffins were warm & soft, & french fries crispy. Beans were yummy. The macaroni & cheese wasn’t hitting on much , but I don’t expect homemade Mac from any restaurant… Can’t wait to order again!
