Ordered doordash a couple of weeks ago and my order was missing a whole waffle bowl, so I went in person this time and the service was horrible. The workers work very slowly and show little initiative to provide decent customer service. This is the first time in all of my years of going to Cold Stone that the experience was this bad. This location needs to try and hire friendlier staff who are ready to serve. I get that the pay may not be great but they looked young, like they’re getting their feet wet in the job market, so they need to step it up if they want to aspire to other things. I’ve been working since 17 and have had various positions including my first job being 20 hours paid and 20 hours volunteer, so yes I am going to comment this with certainty. Also they were out of whipped cream?? At an ice cream shop? Hoping things get better at this location.
Tell jalen if he hates his job to the point a simple task of making the correct ice cream that we ordered makes him shakes his head and pout all while making it seem as if we are in the wrong just because we wanna add chocolate syrup that he may need to just stay out of customer service :/ sucks we paid $20 for the wrong ice cream and when asked to correct it he goes “ I already put it on” and “ I have to get more ice cream”
so rude didn’t serve us told us they were closing and there was still people there and they were in since 7:30 who weren’t served and they still had 40 minutes until they closed they said the manager left but they still could of work the registration but they kept telling us they weren’t serving anymore people one of the workers said he was putting his two weeks in don't go if you want to wait almost a hour to not get anything.
Three (3) stars for the workers because they were nice. However, the place was not the cleanest. It was messy/dirty on the inside and the outside where you can sit was riddled with trash on the ground and melted ice cream on tables and chairs. This place is super busy so I won’t say the workers had ample time to clean, but the amount of trash on the ground and the messiness on the inside was a lot. I prefer the Newport News location. It looks cleaner and the wait time is shorter.
Great staff. Little overwhelmed from rude customers. But these kids are doing their best
I placed order via doir dashé (door dash) at 6:20 didn't make it there till about 7:00 and was told by kayla a girl with a pink mohawk that my order would be the next order made so I waited around for 30 mins while Kayla and another boy kept going to the back and messing around to then have another employee ask me what I was waiting for and then grab my order from the freezer that was sitting there the whole time... Needless to say the I was was kinda upset to have had my time wasted because of the lack of management and coordinating that I saw for 30 mins..
The young ladies that were working there when I went were great. They were pleasant and helpful.
My family and I really enjoyed our desserts. The staff was amazing and patient since it was a lot of us. Thank you Hampton store!!!
