Ok I never rate an experience on my first time I go a few times and then give an overall rating. My first time here was last week on Saturday June 11/12 and the food was exceptional i had a little issue with how some thing was cooked and their response and rectification of the matter exceeded my wishes. I originally wanted ribs but they told me they don’t have ribs all the time ( definitely respect that) but said they would be doing a barbecue on Father’s Day and that they would have ribs then. Today is Father’s Day 2022 I arrived at the establishment at 11:00 am told they didn’t open until 12:00. Waited in the parking lot in front of the door until 12:00 I notice people walking about including the wait staff and at about 12:15 I stopped one and said hey I been waiting outside for someone to take my order since that’s how it was done last week there is an option to call the phone but I’m RIGHT THERE so I dialed the number and told them hey I been sitting outside I wanted to place order for food she told me 45 minutes to an hour there are orders ahead of mine like how when I was first. I exclaimed on the phone “bih YALL got me f’d up and hung up I left immediately after before the “PHILLY “ in me came out and I would have handled the disrespect accordingly … I will never go there again they do not deserve my money
The food is made fresh. We have tried several items and everything is delicious. We picked up a dinner for someone else and they said that it was THE BEST liver and onions they've ever tasted! Only wish Norfolk location sold liver and onions meal. I do suggest calling ahead because it can be a wait since they make everything to order. The wait is worth it though. Will be a customer for a long time.
As a business owner customer service is very important the customer service here was horrible I literally ordered my food it took them 2 1/2 hours to come out to say they did not have any collard greens when I didn’t even ask for Collard greens I asked for green beans, The young lady then states she will go let them know I asked her how long it would take because just take the green beans off she said another 20 minutes because they’re backed up SMFH, I told her At this point to cancel the order, The Norfolk location definitely hope this place up that’s why I wanted to try it but definitely not worth it… they are open Friday to Sunday they gotta do better if you were that busy put the phones on busy and only take online orders until you’re all caught up…. But I definitely wanna shout out China wok for saving the day on King Street not only did I call them when I left Cherry O, By the time I got there my food was nice hot, ready and on point…. not all but BLACK BUSINESSES WE GOT TO DO BETTER! We are held to a higher standard please remember that!!!
Food is good but worst customer service said food be ready in a hour got there a hour and fifthteen minutes later and still had to wait 30 extra minutes no one came to the car and when i called and told them about the wait the woman who answered the phone had a attitude wont be back there until they get better service they make it hard to support black business im all about support but you need better service
100/100 I just chicken wing dinner with Mac and yams !! It came with cornbread I haven’t tried the cornbread yet but everything else bomb !!!!!!!!! Fresh and hot was about 14 dollars and the trays are packed full they weren’t stingy with the food at all great customer service the young lady’s were respectful and sweet love black business ! I love our people hope you guys put this place everywhere thank you❤️
I came yesterday 3/19/22 the food was HORRIBLE. The food was dry and way UNDER seasoned … these genius put my “cold” potato salad with my HOT food and it now became out potato salad.. everyone knows you should keep them separate. I ordered two dinners one fish plate and one chicken dinner. The fished was sooooooooo DRY n had no seasoning what so ever the chicken was the same… ive wen to the north location twice last week food was really good…. The hampton location is TRASHHHHHHH… i wont come back for this nasty food?????????
They stop taking orders 2 hours before they closed and only open on weekends. Then act like they can’t take a simple order and complaining about they are almost out of food which is ridiculous because THERE ONLY OPEN ON WEEKENDS. Then had a nerve to say I shoulda called earlier and I work 7 days a week. Horrible customer service. I spend money with them every week and it’s always hour or 2 wait which by now they should have learn how to work there business. They lost a outstanding customer and will lose more. Just doesn’t make since. And the cake is nasty. The macaroni taste like stouffer‘s Mac and cheese and not homemade at all. ???????????? Never again!!!!
I ordered smothered pork chops, mac n cheese and yams but got green beans instead of yams! Mac n cheese was near cold and cheese tasted spoiled! For the price it was not worth it at all ?
This place is nothing but the truth!! The food is sooo good. Please order when in Hampton. I love this place!
Four stars because I haven’t had a bad dish from here , however I am constantly disappointed by the amount of time it takes to get your order!!!! Consistently takes atleast 20min past quoted times ….
