This is NOT the same Anna Seafood as it was years previous to COVID. Clearly, they have new owners because the food is just AWFUL. The fish is dry, overcooked, and tastes old and super fishy. The french fries should be called grease fries. Portions are smaller and prices are almost double. Don't waste your time or money. I ate it a month or so back and it was awful then, I couldn't believe the change from the old Anna Seafood and thought it was just an off-day. Decided to give them one more try. Big mistake. HUGE mistake. Learn from me - spend your money elsewhere.
Our family has come here for years & could've chosen to go to other seafood places in Hampton but today was the 'last' time coming because it's not the same, particularly in customer service. The older lady is rude & may one day get more than she expects if she doesn't stop. If it were not for striving to be Christlike I would have offended her as much as she's offended others, but I know the best thing to do is take my money elsewhere from now on such as to Martin's Seafood on Kecoughtan, Seafood Kitchen in Old Hpt or to Henry's on Joynes Rd for fresh fish to cook it myself. I can accept occasionally not being completely satisfied with my order but I'll NEVER accept rudeness. The older man in the back seems nice & the younger man but the old lady up front is causing customers to not return. If I wasn't born again she'd have been in tears before I left the establishment, but not another penny of my money will be spent there.
We spent$ 39.00 fried, chicken which was burnt did not realize unto we got home, clam chowder more potatoes than anything, we called to explain the situation, the woman was mean and nasty,stating we couldn't get our money back nor would she replace the food.How would u handle this if u were in our place. I am going to do my best to post a picture of the food. Be aware aware when u visit this establishment .HELP, They are located on Todd's Lane in Hampton,Virginia, we were visiting in the area, thought we would get some good Southern food.
Great seafood consistently.We get fried fish dinner and steamed shrimp. Very quick pick up service.Its fresh seafood, and good variety.
Great and Fresh Seafood. Food is cooked once you place your order. Great options. Catfish and the Crab Egg rolls are awesome ?
Wings have a nice unique taste. If you're in the area they're well worth the stop.Call because their hours don't always align with Google.

What they gave me was a SALMON CAKE. It was all fish. Very misleading, not what I paid for. I already made it home and when I opened the box the crabcake looked EXACTLY like a salmon PATTIE and tasted like one too! It was a good tasting Salmon cake tho lol. I'm just mad I PAID for a CRABCAKE and received a SALMON cake!
I ordered two dinners. The fries and hush puppies were old and hard and I found hair sticking out of my food. When I showed the staff they laughed in my face and insisted that it wasn’t from them (even though the female had her hair down). They stated “oh, that’s a good one” as if I planted the hair in the food myself. They became irate and gave me an attitude as if I was looking for a free meal (I even gave them the food back) The cook argued with me in front of other customers and said “that’s not Asian hair, we have straight hair.” I will never patronize this place again. They’re rude and the food was gross.
First & last time at this place. I am a traveler & noticed there was a lot of foot traffic (usually a good sign). First of all, the smell of urine distracts from the smell of food inside the restaurant. This food is not only overpriced (for the portions) but the wait is excessive for STALE, overcooked food. There is nowhere to sit & dine although advertised. You have to wait in you car until it's ready. I would not recommend this establishment to anybody who wants an enjoyable meal. Captain Ds is not far away... you can have 2 sides, a drink with HOT food and sit comfortably at a booth/table to enjoy your meal without the smell of a soiled diaper.
For a dinner special out plates were extra light . Like somebody had already ate out the plate .Flounder was baby flounder. Fries were cold . Lady was rude when we told her it wasn’t a lot of food. And they went up on the price . Could have kept the food quality up . They used to be good . Not sure what happened . Won’t be coming back .
