We went to Vinnie's Restaurant on Route 1. It is a clean restaurant and the staff was very helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing and that's important. The prices are very reasonable and the food quality was superb! We love this restaurant and will absolutely go back! Husband said his martini was the he's ever had! Give it a try -we found a new favorite place!
First time trying this place and won't be back, pizza was decent but nothing to talk about. Dough/crust was bland, toppings were decent but green peppers should be cooked not just tossed on top like a salad. Prices are fine I guess. This place isn't bad but isn't much better then pizza hut which isn't good for a sit down place. The salads are big and the pasta looks good but definitely way better places within 10 miles.
Decided to try Vinny's tonight...so glad we did! Stacy is a DELIGHT, the salad was fresh and pizza was good, prices reasonable ($21 for large everything pizza) Will be going back soon!
Stopped in here for a late dinner. Place is nice and spacious inside. The booths are “Big Boy Certified” and they have a small bar you can sit at that looks pretty well stocked. Wait staff was really nice. I wanted to try the Bruschetta Al Forno but asked if they could make half the order with out cheese because of my allergies and it was not a problem at all. It was a great little appetizer with a lot of flavor and the tomato sauce that came on the side was really good but my wife said it was a little to sweet for her. The bread was nice and fresh tasting. I ordered a Beyond Burger with lettuce, tomato and mayo and fries and my wife ordered a Pepperoni Calzone. The wife said the Calzone was very tasty and cheesy. It came with a side of the same sauce as the appetizer but I ended up dipping my crunchy fries in it. She ended up taking half of the Calzone home it was so big. The burger was big and tasty to my surprise and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. Over all pretty good food and the folks here are super nice. We’ll be back again. So as far as monies spent for the food and 3 beers it came to $55.00
Second time getting take out and while I was impressed with the pizza for the first time, I was disappointed this time.We ordered the "steak" stromboli, and even though I should have known better, I expected more quality beef than steak-umm meat. It's advertised as having onions and green peppers, of which there were few, but there WAS lots and lots of cheese. And, it was a smaller portion than we usually get from other places. Still enough for two people. The worst part? It was burnt! I do not want my food, much less a bread product, blackened unless I request it.To sum it up, Vinny's is a speedy, but so-so, Italian place. I may try it again but it will be a while.
pizza was delicious, mozzarella sticks were homemade and my dad said some of the best hes ever had! Tiramisu was also delicious.Staff super friendly, we will definitely come back! Thank you for a great dinner!
It was just ok. Have been to other locations that I liked a lot better. The male that seated me could have been a little friendlier or at least smile. The pasta was dry. The chicken had a good flavor but dry from little sauce. I didnt see anywhere on the menu that the lunch portion prices do not apply on the weekend. I heard other people asking about when they got their bill and saw was higher than expected. Restaurant needs to put their policy on the menu if that is different from what they post.
Lived in the Sliding hill area for years and enjoy trying other restaurants that have beer on draft. My wife and I came here this past Saturday night. We ate inside the restaurant and had a pleasant time. The food was great but the beer seems to be a little overpriced. I was hoping to get a Tall yuengling but they only have regular sized drafts. Their price of $6 for a regular size yuengling is usually what I pay for a Tall yuengling somewhere else.
We have been wanting to try the new location since the other one in mechanicsville is good we were sorely disappointed!! Tasteless pizza and the wings were way over cooked. I would have faired better getting chicken nuggets at McDonald’s and then hitting little ceasars. Will not be going back.
We have been searching for decent pizza since we've moved to Ashland almost 3 years ago and we finally found somewhere that we will definitely try again. The pizza was good. It was well cooked. The server was nice and the bartender was very knowledgeable. We ended up with a half cheese, half pepperoni and an order of limoncello cake. Both were big hit at our table. It was nearly empty when we got there but about 45 minutes in it started to fill up. We never felt rushed or pressured and the service stayed consistent. All around a great experience and we will definitely be back.
