Owner is so rude. Been ordering the same thing here for 25+ years. This time Got the order wrong 2 times and still refused to remake it correctly. Told me it was "too much sugar" even though I paid for 3x topping. Was too angry to demand a refund. I had left 20% tip and everything. I will never go here again. It was for my mom and she likes it a certain way.
Walked in to observe manager and or owner publicly correcting a cashier which was unprofessional. The seating was piled up on one side of store. Ordered blizzards for myself and another. We got the Oreo dirt pie without gummies and drumstick. Mine didn't have brown chocolate color as display. The drumstick was ordered with chocolate ice cream but made with vanilla. The cashier (different then one being publicly humiliated) was clueless. I normally order thru the app but decided to scan at register since one blizzard was special order (can't special order on app). There is a process to receive your points by scanning phone when in store. They had no idea what I was talking about and owner/manager advised "I don't know the technical stuff". Oh the blizzards weren't turned upside down and we soon found out why. We went outside sat down at a bench to find them a melty mess. Will never ever patronize this location again.
I have been to this location and had a great experience each time when the manager is present. This evening it was 3 gentlemen who were very nice but unfortunately were very untrained. They weren’t sure how to make some of the menu items. Training should fix the issue but I ended up overpaying for what I received.
The owner/manager is such a nice person. Genuinely caring towards his customers. And.his product and service is great. Please support him. We need more business owners in our community like him.
I went in on a Friday evening hoping that the blizzard cake my son wanted for his birthday would be in stock. Unfortunately it wasn't, but the manager, Frank, was awesome and said he would work a bit late and have it ready for the next day. He did a great job and I'm grateful for the extra effort he put for us!
I had a terrible experience at this Dairy Queen location. I walked in with my boyfriend and ordered a small blizzard for us to share, and when I went to reach for my debit card to pay, the man behind the counter told my boyfriend that he should be paying for the ice cream. He then looked at me and said “c’mon, he should be paying.” My boyfriend and I laughed this rude comment off, and I continued to pay for the ice cream. While receiving the blizzard, the man put one spoon into the ice cream cup, and when I asked for him to give me another spoon, he said to me, “I figured. Don’t give him any. He doesn’t deserve it”, implying that since my boyfriend didn’t pay for the blizzard, he doesn’t deserve to have any of it. This ticked me off and I walked out of the store in frustration. I found these comments absolutely disrespectful and completely derogatory. I did not like the way that this man treated my boyfriend and I, and because of this, I will never be returning to this store.
Exceptional service. Paid special attention to my grandkids! Had a big order and packed up perfectly to travel in the car. Great place! Will be back!!
Frank was so helpful when I called to order my son’s birthday cake. Professional, on point and efficient. I even git a bigger cake than I order and so beautiful. Awesome customer service. I highly recommend.Telma Santos-Glen Allen
I feel like prices have gone up in recent years beyond where it's expected but I guess that's what we have to deal with now-a-days. Overall, I like this DQ. It's been a west end staple for as long as I can remember. I remember coming here with my parents, riding my bicycle from the neighborhood to this location, and now even taking my own son to DQ.The service is good, the ice cream is delicious, the location is perfect and there's always ample parking. They move very quickly and the store is clean and well stocked. I still choose DQ over Bruster's, Coldstone, etc.
Got a cookie dough ice cream cake for my daughter's birthday. The staff was incredibly nice. The man that makes the cakes even put extra cookie dough in the cake, because my daughter loves cookie dough. Great staff and great service. We will definitely come here more often.
