I am extremely disappointed in the lack of quality and freshness in the food. I ordered lunch and what arrived was obviously very old and very cold food. Also the chicken fried rice which I was charged extra for had so little chicken I didn’t even notice it. Needless to say I threw the food away and am looking for a new place to spend my hard earned dollars. This is unacceptable and you’ve lost another long time customer!!
The Richmond area is known for great Chinese food and a fantastic example is Chen's Restaurant in Glen Allen. Their version of Orange Chicken is simply the best I've ever had. It features large chunks of lightly breaded chicken breast in a spicy Orange sauce. You can tell that this sweet and delightfully tangy sauce is prepared from scratch using fresh oranges. Their fried rice was also prepared to perfection, with vegetables and just the right amount of soy sauce. We found the service to be very friendly and attentive. The owner came by a couple of times as well, to engage with us and to assure everything met our expectations. We highly recommend Chen's and applaud them for providing such a wonderful dining experience!

I have done takeout from Chen's for years, but ate in for the first time ever last week. I knew the food was fantastic from my take-out, but the hospitality dining in was excellent as well. We were well cared for & the food presentation added to the experience. Dining in they have homemade duck sauce & some incredible hot mustard (way better than the take-out packets). I'll be back for both take-out & dine in soon.

We have ordered take out a few times, and the food is excellent. We just dined in for the first time, the food is great, homemade duck sauce and wanton noodles, service was attentive, and the owner is a great guy. Highly recommend eating there. Great Chinese food and reasonably priced.
All the tasty details you expect from great Chinese! General Taos chicken is crispy and tender inside, chicken fried rice has plenty of chicken in it, and the sweet and sour is most definitely the best I’ve had. Staff is friendly and helpful!
Didn’t feel like cooking on Christmas Day, and Chinese cuisine was the only option that was open in Richmond it seemed (besides a few gas stations.) I called in my takeout order & I was told it would take 45min-1hour. They were right on time somehow at 45min, which was a Christmas miracle because when I walked in there was what looked like hundreds of takeout orders being organized. Literally hundreds. Plus they’re extremely nice people and the food is phenomenal. Wish I could give 6 stars, never seen a restaurant operate that busy, they somehow did it smoothly and well organized. that was insane
