Second visit in the past month with comparable experiences that lead to this review:arrived on the rooftop and waited for 20+ minutes before we went to ask if someone would please serve us. A server arrived with no menus, and then we asked for them, so she had to go find some. We immediately ordered drinks and our meal.Server went to another table and sat down with her friends. We waited. And waited. And waited. She then came over with drinks and apologized for the wait. [There were 4 people working on the rooftop that was not completely full.]The food was delivered from other wait staff and they brought out and order not for our table. They then took the meal around the entire rooftop asking who it belonged to. (I definitely would not want that meal after having been put in front of dozens of patrons' faces.)Our server arrived back on the rooftop with another guest who apparently the meal belonged to! Hooray!Food: small portion size of burgers and the sides. Neither are worth the cost.We finished our meal and didn't bother asking for refills. Server brought the check and it included drinks that we did not order. They belonged to the neighboring table, which made sense because the table beside us got tired of waiting as well and just walked off, so their items were put on our bill. We were also charged for sauces and were never told there was an additional charge. We had the drinks removed. This was not an isolated incident and is not connected to staff shortage, but errors in management, training, and expectations.NOT worth your visit. Go to next door Castigilia's for the rooftop experience.

I have just eaten one of the best, if not the best, veggie burger I've had in my life. The Woodstock was awesome! Goats cheese, advacado and tomato jam put this quinoa- couscous- bean veggie mushroom burger over the top.Service was good and the atmosphere relaxed. Well worth a visit.

Vivify Burger & LoungeFirst time there and it's a very nice and fun environment, colorful beautiful pictures and light fixtures, outdoor seating, even has Roof top Deck, I ordered the Farmhouse burger which had Yellow Cheddar, fried farm fresh Egg, Pork belly, & house Ranch dressing, the burger was cooked Pink, (medium Well), the burger was absolutely Delicious, juicy, Hot, & Flavorful. I give this restaurant a high rating not because of the burger, but because the service was A1I will recommend to family and friends and will be be back again..

First, I'll summarize what every bad review says: good milkshakes, sub-par and very small burgers for very big prices, and either poor or non-existent customer service.Second, I'll share my experiences there as a patron....I judge every restaurant on four things: cleanliness, food quality, customer service, and how management treats their employees; youuuuu guessed it... we're 0/4 on that front!Third, I'll share my experience as an employee. I worked exactly 8 shifts before being summarily "let go" after Aby and Blake Bethem heard/discovered (from a messy female bartender at Spirits) that I'm disabled and homeless...she said to me, "If we're being candid...I just can't trust you. Sydney... desperate people do desperate things..." So she let me go after accusing me of potential, future theft...? Hello Tom Cruise, the psychics from Minority Report are calling, can I take a message? Any time the restaurant gets busy, both of its owners seemingly disappear...and that's just when they're not airing out their martial issues, cursing out 15 y/o patrons, or screaming at their homeless employees (there are 3). Plus, Aby steals tips and selectively distributes them with a side of cronyism, nepotism and ageism in that exact order. During my two weeks there, I served exactly five former employees all of which said the same thing...the Bethems choose and then use and abuse all of their employees, and that's been true for YEARS. Anytime I told servers and bartenders at other restaurants where I was hired, they all laughed and said "come back here when you're ready for a REAL job".In summation, in all of my 27 years on this third rock from the sun, after eight years of restaurant (management level) experience, and after at least 20 different food service jobs in FLORIDA (America's armpit), I can without hesitation say that Aby and Blake Bethem are the worst bosses I've ever had...and THAT'S saying something. Literal slave drivers. Might wanna review your state and local food safety practices, child labor laws, outdated and non-functional fire safety equipment, and perhaps the good book before patronizing this business.PS- These absolute snakes constantly fall back on "we're a small, locally-owned, family-owned, veteran-owned business" anytime someone has less than glowing reviews for them. Let's wait and see how they "respond" to this one. My next phone call is to the BBB report line, and then after that, a civil attorney :)EDIT: This restaurant is not registered nor is it accredited through the BBB, so I had to make them a page and then file a formal complaint afterward

Unfortunately, Vivify has proven that just because you start with great quality products doesn't mean your result is going to taste better. From overhandled protein to underseasoned cheese fries and undercooked homemade tots. On both occasions here, the experiences have been less than satisfactory for my family and me.

LOVED the food. We had the Royale with Cheese, the Woodstock (chef's kiss for real), the sliders, parmesean fries, and the buttermilk chicken tenders. Amazing food across the board. Get you some.

great food and great service viv burger was fantastic

When Aby and Blake Bethem put their heads together to start a new restaurant venture, you know it's going to be great. Eight years later and Vivify is a staple on William Street welcoming families and bar hoppers alike. Their locally sourced menu is delicious and their rooftop bar is a great escape for anyone looking to kick back and enjoy a cold beverage and fresh air at the same time. As part of the agency team behind Vivify's website, we are proud to be partnering with the Bethems. They have made a lasting impact on our community and many of the lives within.

Great rooftop with a great selection of beers!

One of our go-to’s in downtown Fredericksburg. Casual atmosphere with some delicious menu staples and creative seasonal additions. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful and the roof top bar/dining area is the cherry on top!
