If you look like you don't speak the language you will be put ' at the end of the line' by both the employees and patrons. Otherwise the products taste great and are nicely priced. Small business equals higher prices then Walmart if it's carried there.
Very nice man works there that helped me out today he was very helpful. There is a small language barrier at times some can't speak English but every time I have gone they have helped me to the best of their ability sometimes they are nervous but I've never been treated badly. Great people great food. Try the costillas they are a real hit!! Thank you Tortillería Mixteca for your excellent service!!
I just when to buy tortillas didn't try the food, grosery is small but tortillas are very good so good to know where to buy tortillas as a mexican I cant eat without tortilla.
On our sunday shopping excursions, my girlfriend and I smelled and spotted this little spot. As we couldn't ignore the amazingly intoxicating aroma, we decided it was a must try. Walked in thinking it was a restaurant, so much more. A very no nonsense market/takeout spot serving the most delicious chicken and short ribs. It was our first time eating here and we have already recommended to all of our friends and family. We will be back next week to get the grilled onions that we forgot to order this time. My girlfriend and I are so happy (and full) that we finally stopped in. Amazing food and friendly people.
Great food (typically we get wood grilled whole/half chicken or ribs) and kind employees. You can't go wrong with any of the food ordered here, and its unique latinx shopping section is a fun place to pick up rare treats.Depending on the time you go and employees working, you may need to be comfortable with a little spanish (I know none but pointing and gesturing can get you through basic ordering).Definitely a hidden gem and deserves more attention.
Establishment is OPEN, but still need some TLC in store and restaurant. Grilled chicken was good, but a little more seasoning. Got one rib with two bones for $9.37 @ $12.49pc. Stick to the Chicken, note to self.
Always great service. The food is good and the tortillas are delicious when are warm.
