We ordered two trays of donuts for our wedding and it was a huge hit! Everyone raved about the donuts, which we served as a late night snack. Great donuts, as always!
This bakery has everything! It even has gluten free options. You can get cakes, cookies, donuts, brownies, etc. The apple fritters are the best in town! I just wish they would bring back the cherry-filled donut.

Great service even on the day before Valentine's Day!! Doughnuts were delicious. I also requested some cream stuffed chocolate cookies which were made for me on the spot! Great job. Highly recommend Paul's
THE EMPEROR IS NAKED.Something has changed with the doughnuts, and it's not great. Paul's used to have the best doughnuts, hands down, with just the right glutinous pinch to every bite. Now, they taste like any "fresh" supermarket doughnut. Not terrible, but just a doughnut. Whaaa Haaaapen?
Pauls has the most delicious donuts I have ever had the pleasure of eating! Their donut holes are perfectly soft little bites of heaven with a popnof jelly inside. The cake donuts are satisfying to the sweet tooth without being super sweet. Their chocolate icing is so delicious, I could swim in it.Their cakes are equally as delectable!Don't walk, run to Paul's for the best bakery around!
Coming from up north in new england where we have so many great mom and pop bakeries and donut shops, i have to say Paul's bakery makes the best donuts that ive tried out of anywhere in VA from fredericksburg to northern. I wish they made an old fashioned chocolate glazed but all the other donuts are on point.
This place has been my childhood favorite for doughnuts, but the last 2 times have been outright ridiculous..... period, never have I ever seen such a unfriendly staff, they are rude, especially at answering questions, but the last 2 times I went there, one Saturday at 12 noon and then today, Friday morning at 10a.m. and both times there were hardly any doughnuts left???? They are open until 2, not everyone gets up at 5:30a.m. and can get there. This is poor bad bad business period. The lady says we make them in the morning for the day, I was like well looks like you need to make more, no choices for nothing. Needless to say, sorry but I'm done with Paul's bakery, not getting anymore of my money or business. Good bye and good riddance!!
Great, as always! My partner is from Williamsburg and I had to initiate him to Fredericksburg culture by getting him his first Paul's Bakery donut. He took one bite and said, "Oh wow! This is delicious!"
So I love the donuts here but today proved I will not be back. The line was out the door and when I actually got inside it was complete chaos. They need a better system because no one knows where the line starts or ends.
