My family and I have been frequenting O'Charley's restaurant in Fredericksburg, VA lately. I suggest the spinach dip to start off. The Caesar Salad (add salmon) and a side of french fries and share the apple cobbler and ice cream for dessert. You can't go wrong!!!Most of those times lately we have been blessed to have Ashanti as our waitress. She is very attentive and makes you feel welcomed. Her old soul is refreshing.Great place to dine and unwind.
We have come here a few times through the years and have always had a pretty positive experience. This evening we went in and had by far the best waitress I think I have ever encountered. Ashunta was SO sweet and very attentive. We really appreciated her. She made the dining experience great. Food was good per usual. Steak was very good, and our kids enjoyed their food as well.
We had a delightful waitress who didn't mind us moving from the super tall booths to a table by the window. My friend and I both ordered California salads. I ordered a coffee and my friend ordered a soup and iced tea. She was disappointed there was no pie on Wednesday, but our salads were so big and delicious, and after her potato soup, she ended up not having room for dessert.
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. If you go, don't order steak, baked potato or fried seafood. Steak was to be medium well but came out made on a waffle iron and beyond well done. The seafood was swimming in oil/grease. How do you make dry coleslaw? Why has the quality of the food preparation gone done beyond the bottom of a pit? The only food that remains great are the hot dinner roll. Save your money and go somewhere else.
I've lived in the area for 20 years now. I have no idea how I've never gone here to eat! It was fantastic and affordable and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit!
On my first visit, I ordered their seafood platter. It was a solid meal with a lot of flavour and not overdone. Plenty of parking, safety measures advertised and enforced, pub/bar style menu. Easy place to relax. Not a lot of ambiance or character but the wait staff is phenomenal. Misty, the regular bar tender and server was so amazingly kind and attentive that I've definitely made return trips.
Was a total busy. Took wife for lunch. Booth was so small could just get in. Bench was broken on both sides. Girl took over 15 min. To come and get drink order, we ordered our meal at same time. 20 min later came with my order and told wife her order would take much long would she like to order something else. Had to go get menu. After wife ordered I at real slow, but my food was cool before hers came. She ate while I set. Want go back.
The meal we had was not worth a star. Valentine special was a joke. Never got the appetizer, was told the dessert was extra, steak was tough and freezer burnt. The veggie had no taste, the rolls were smaller than the palm of your hand and the service was horrible. We use to love this place but never again
The food wasn’t great. I had chicken tenders that were overcooked and side of mashed sweet potatoes was cold. The ladies restroom was disgusting; one stall locked closed, another there was no lock at all. Toilet paper all over the floor but none available to use. Obviously employees hadn’t checked it at all. The best part was our waiter who was wonderful.
